章 390: No one can hurt me

Bai Liyue carried a bowl of water, a stack of clean dressings, and a bottle of antiseptic solution. Her heart raced as she looked at his wounds. They were horrible. She didn't know whether he was in pain, but looking at his back, she felt pain. 

"It will hurt a little," she warned him before preparing to treat his back. 

Qin Yufeng couldn't help but smile when he heard how genuinely worried she was about him despite what he had been doing to her. He loved her even more for being so caring towards him. She was like a beautiful light that he was drawn to day after day.

"Love, I've been through worse. Just do it, and don't worry about me," he said.

Bai Liyue nodded, even though she knew he couldn't see her. She gently folded a cloth in the water bowl and squeezed out the excess liquid. Her hands trembled slightly as she reached out to touch his injured back.

Qin Yufeng hissed in pain.
