章 284: Oh, Callie...

Callie wanted to say she couldn't believe that Adam was okay with Carter claiming him as his dad but it really wasn't that unbelievable once she got over her surprise. It was actually just like him. 

He was a sucker for the kid. Always had been. 

He was also lonely and already thought of the two of them as family. Asking them to stay long term was exactly the sort of thing someone in that situation would think was logical. 

It wasn't logical at all. Nothing about the weird relationship between the three of them had ever been logical but here they were. 

Callie hadn't expected this to happen. The last thing she ever thought was in the cards for her was finding a man to take care of them instead of doing things herself but that wasn't exactly what happened. At least not in the way she was so against.
