章 123: She Had Been Missing Out On A Lot

Gwen didn't know what that was like. Mateo did say she was super shy though. A shy person probably wouldn't enjoy being interviewed. As long as Noelle didn't hate her job, she would likely see staying there as the lesser of two evils. 

"Aha. Where did you live before?"

"I lived in this small town called Palmyra in upstate New York. Everybody there knows each other." 

A small town. Gwen couldn't even imagine that. She wondered why Noelle had chosen to leave it behind, especially considering how close she seemed to be with her family, but didn't feel comfortable asking since she hadn't offered the information on her own. 

"That's nice," she said lamely. "I've always lived in New York City."
