Tight heavy ropes were clasped at Leon and Lucien's hands behind their back. Black cloth was put in their heads. Leon and Lucien did not bother fighting back. 

It's useless anyway. Besides, they need to save their energy in surviving the top of the mountain for three days. 

They felt being carried towards a small carriage. Two people per carriage. They can hear murmurs from people surrounding them. The men must have felt pity as they removed the sack that covered their faces. Although their hands and feet are tied tightly by a rope. 

In the dead of the night, the townspeople were awake but they dare not come out of their houses. They watched behind curtains the carriages being transported out from the mayor's house.
