I feel so rested after sleeping like a baby that I settle deeper into the mattress, enjoying the warmth on my back too much. I'm like a cat that rubs its body against people's legs. I'm so comfortable that it takes me a moment to realize I'm not actually on my back. I'm lying on my left yet there's warmth radiating behind me.

I guess Val decided to sleep in my bed after all. With my eyes still closed because I'm not ready to see the light yet, I turn around to find my cousin's heat. She's much closer to me than I anticipated because I bump into her…arm?

Reaching out to pull her closer, my palm lands on her…scruff? What? That's not right. Val doesn't have a beard. 

My palm skates her skin some more, and I gulp when my fingers touch what I assume is a neck, only it's not a girl's neck. It's definitely a man's.
