Priyanka's heart softened after she heard those words. Maybe they were wrong. Karan was a good man. She looked into his eyes and all she could see was a wounded man who was struggling. If only he could tell her his problems, she would have helped him. 

"It is late. I think you should sleep" She took the drugs back to the drawer. "What is my task tomorrow?"

"You will stay at home and rest. Mother said there is a ritual coming up for women" Karan told her. "You need rest before then."

"What ritual is that?" Priyanka asked. She was surprised that nobody told her about it. "If it was for women, how do you know about it?"

"Are you jealous of me?" he was on his feet staring at her with those beautiful pair of golden eyes.
