The elevators functioned nothing like elevators at all. Rather, they were more like bullets in a gun, being launched at immensely high speeds. They travelled upwards from the docking area at the bottom of the station to the centre, before being thrown violently into one of the nineteen points that made up the whole of the station.
It travelled along the length for a few moments, before violently coming to a halt and throwing Gus to the floor. He gagged, and raised a hand to his mouth in a futile attempt to stop himself from being sick.
As the doors slid open, Fernando and Jessica moved past him and into the room beyond, taking their positions in the room for the Council.
"What should I do about this?" Gus asked, rising to his feet.
"Leave it to them," Fernando answered as a pair of people rushed through the room to the elevator. "Just get on the podium and get ready for the Council to start."
