"Focus, focus, focus," Mariana muttered. She had displayed a notable amount of focus, and she had passed the test.
Now, with Daniel alive and well, she was able to assess the environment she was in with more clarity.
She had one…no, two exits she could use to get out of this inhumanly annoying and anxiety-inducing place. There was a worn door on the wall that was opposite the door she had come from. It would be reasonable to go back, but both the curiosity and the feeling of wanting to be more impulsive than she usually was pushed Mariana towards the door on the other side and she wanted to open it so badly, she wanted to go through this ordeal as soon as possible.
"I am going there," she thought so that Daniel would have some kind of an idea about her intentions.
