"Say…what is that glimmering thing?"
The dark lady groaned. It was the first time she had shown this much discomfort during the conversation.
"You don't want to be normal or easy, do you?" she asked with her mighty and thick eyebrows raised.
"No, I don't think I have a choice in it," Mariana said. She did feel like she was special and hard to deal with. After all, normal people hardly battled monsters during their wedding nights.
It didn't feel fair, but the novelty of the glimmering red jewel in the middle of the tobacco ash had already captured her attention. She wanted to find out what this was all about.
"Meet me outside," the dark lady said and prepared to cover her body with a towel. "Fifteen minutes. Go wash yourself, this soap will leave you stinking like cherries for weeks if you don't rinse it off with hotter water."
