章 55: Jackpot

Eros had been analyzing the documents the last forger had given him. Her voluntary demise felt like a heavy weight on him. How long had she been suffering from the pressure? Perhaps she had even lost loved ones in the process? 

He understood that the likes of her had chosen such a path; it was not his place to judge or even feel remorse. Yet the angel could not help but feel sad. Was this the human blood that ran in him? Despite his job, he had always been empathetic, even to the criminals he had to chase. 

After he was done, he contacted Ramiel to let her know. They agreed on him dropping by the next day. 

As Eros was putting everything back, he noticed something was missing.
