章 224: chapter 224: loving them

Waylen's POV

I watched Emily dance for a while before I let my attention get engrossed by the bonfire in front of me.

 I occasionally take a sip from the bottle of beer in my hand but apart from that every other thing happened in slow motion…like I was watching a bad martial arts movie.

I saw Dicky dancing to the beat of the native music Sunny was singing and Joey trying to copy the beat of the drum, the boy we came to know as Sunny's brother was trying to teach him. 

The kids took turns dancing around the fire barefooted. It was a hazard letting them run wild but the joy on their faces was worth the risk.

I felt someone tug at my pants and it snapped me back to reality.

It was my little girl - Miracle.

"What's it, baby?" I dropped the beer I was holding and focused my attention on her.

Her little white dress was more brown than white and her bow tie was in her hand.
