Emily's POV

I can feel Waylen's gaze starting to burn a hole on my face. Dude stared intently at me like he was expecting some cosmic earth shattering reaction from me…like I was supposed to be falling apart and he was supposed to be holding me together with glue.

Well, I didn't fall apart. 

I wondered how long it would take for him to realize that there won't be any cosmic reaction or gnashing of teeth or fire and brimstone. Nothing bearing any resemblance to end time or the book of revelation was going to happen…it won't happen because I am perfectly fine.

Waylen started taking it too far when he tried to hug me again. 

I mean as much as I love the whole 'holding my strong super hot sexy husband' in my arms, we kind of have a doom looming over us like the sword of archangel Michael. That sword was currently lodged in our guest room and she was for some reason wearing Waylen's robe.
