Emily's POV

Even though I wanted to go back to Castaway alone, Waylen insisted on following me. I tried not to appear nervous, I tried to swallow my feelings so he doesn't feel uncomfortable or guilty or any other negative emotions for choosing to make himself happy.

I smiled occasionally and I made brief eye contact too.

I was a little bit startled when he clasped his hands over mine and squeezed it.

"I am sad to see you go too, wolf girl" 

Can he read my mind? Probably not...I hope.

"Did I leave my mindlink open again?" I asked him but I got in return a smile from him.

"No babe, I am just hoping you are sad to see me go just as I am sad to see you go. Wishful thinking, I guess"

Waylen looked at me, I could swear his gaze lingered just a little bit on my lips. Was he thinking of kissing me? Or was he just attracted to my lips….

"Your lips are dry…do you need lipgloss?" He asked.
