章 8: TRAINING RESULTS AND PLANS !!!
Training with weights had benefited a lot and they have all grown accustomed to the 3 kg weights , since they have grown accustomed to it , uchiha changed the weights to 5kg , earlier they had a total of 15 kg on their body now they had 25kg , they have started to train again and they are again facing difficulty execute their moves since the weights has increased , earlier nishinoya sempai could continuously receive 12 balls with blindfold on but now due to increased weights it has reduced to 7 and its already been 1 month since they had the weights changed .
uchiha and the others also returned from the tokyo since uchiha decided it was time for one of the most important training schedule . the team has already greatly improved .
1. Daichi sempai was seriously restricting him since we once checked his spike power without weights and it has now already passes asahi sempai's before he started training . due to playing blindfolded his instincts has also sharpened and he can very well play in a court with blindfold on .
2. Sugawara sempai has also shown improvement in his technique and tosses , he can now from anywhere on court to anywhere on court , his tosses are not as accurate as kageyama's since he cannot pinpoint where the shot is most suitable but he now can bring out the best out of the spikers like oikawa do , what surprised uchiha was the new technique that he created in his tosses , normally when a setter tosses the ball it rotates in the direction of the position it is tossed to , but sugawara sempai gives the reverse rotation to ball which when get spiked have no rotation so even if its getting received due to having no rotation it will just stop moving on receiver's hand , this was a very deadly technique most players don't have counter to this.
3. Asahi sempai has started to practice with 7kg weight on each , means a total of 35 kg , he has taken the path of brute force and is honing is skill according to it but still he uses the other methods to score , his physical strength is no less than that of ushijima wakatoshi and can truly be called karasuno's ace now.
4. Tanaka sempai has learned to use creative methods to score , he now crosses , straight line shots and hand shots , his physical strength has greatly increased and he is the candidate to be karasuno's next ace , his physical strength although lacking compared asahi sempai but still it is good enough to be power scorer.
5. Nishinoya sempai has sharpened his instincts to very core and now can even perceive a ball falling outside the court he can non-stop stop 9 powerful spikes with weights on and now can also toss to any player in the team , he is right now one of the most valuable player in the team.
6. Tsukishima has started to show interest in training and right now can be said to be one of the most difficult read blocker to get pass through and also received a title from the other team during training camp ' HUMAN MACHINE ' since his brain works extremely fast and his muscle strength has also increased making him less prone to powerful spikes.
7. Yamaguchi has now grown confident and don't get nervous during serves , his jump floater has been mastered to very advanced state , enough to fool even nishinoya sempai ' during a practice match yamaguchi scored 5 aces against nishinoya sempai which is very good.his normal jump serve can also be called good , but not compared to others since yamaguchi naturally had a weak body which was honed to some extent to at least perform some serves.
8. Kageyama has mastered the toss i told him about and now tosses accurate toss to hinata , his tosses stops right in front of hinata's hands now. His serves are what improved terribly since his hand strength has increased his serves contain a lot of power and his pinpoint accuracy helps him serve anywhere on the court .
9. Hinata can now be called a monstrous middle blocker his jump has increased , his reflexes has gone another level and his agility has grown monstrous , even to the point of better than uchiha's agility . he can now truly be called a all-rounder in the court and can appear anywhere on court in short amount of time . He has mastered all the tempo's after they returned from tokyo since uchiha send him to old crow. {[If you don't know who old crow is , than you are not haikyuu !!! fan ]}
Since they were playing 2 vs 2 on beach now they have more stable jumps with longer air time and everyone one of them can set properly to other , it's not compared to the level of kageyama , sugawara and uchiha's but they still can give a set to spiker in case of emergency .
* 15 DAYS BEFORE SPRING QUALIFIER *
Today uchiha called for a team gathering , no one knows what he was going to give them as training now
*KARASUNO POV*
"He was truly a demon of a coach , so cruel that I forgot about the training schedule of old coach Ukai " Sugawara sempai says to the rest of team.
" Yes you are correct sempai , I get chills even now thinking about the first few week after starting of our training " Tanaka replies to Sugawara sempai
"But thanks to him we have all grown truly strong and we still don't know the true extent to our abilities due to weights on " Daichi sempai says to others , while other nods
"Think about it ' he gave us so tight training schedule ,and we have improved but he is still better than us , how much training he must have been doing to be like that?" when Nishinoya says this , other gets a chill under their spine .
"We still don't know the full extent of his gameplay , although he was showing he was playing hard , I could see that he was holding back" when kageyama says this , a fire lit behind him and hinata , others sweatdropped at this while also curious about uchiha's full strength .
"But no matter how cruel and cold he look , he is warm person from inside and funny too don't you remember the prank he pulled on everybody in the training camp" yamaguchi says while laughing
Others face palmed themselves , right , how can they forget it when uchiha literally soaked everyone in water first thing in the morning with the help of kuroo and bokuto .
"Okay everyone , line up we have to talk" suddenly they heard the voice they can never forget. soon they all lined up .
"From today onwards you will not wear the weights , only 15 days are left to spring qualifiers and you guys need to gets familiar to your real strength" when uchiha said that everyone were very happy since they too wanted to know their strength .
"From today , you will play matches non-stop in groups of four with yamaguchi being the pinch server for both sides , this will help you familiarise with your strengths" When they heard it they started to disperse and one of them went to bring volleyballs , but was stopped by uchiha " Where are you going ??" "To get the volleyballs from store , how will play matches without them??" uchiha smirks and says " Kiyoko-san please bring them in " everyone gets a chill seeing that smirk , they very well knew the meaning behind it , they were looking towards the gym door , after some while they see shimizu sempai pushing a trolley in.
"EHH!!- basketballs?? , you do know its a volleyball court right??" sugawara questions with a smile , to which uchiha replies " From now to spring qualifiers you will play volleyball with basketball" others get confused , why should they play volleyball with basketball , 'HAS UCHIHA GONE MAD FINALLY!!!!' , uchiha very well understood their thought and answered " No , i haven't gone mad and playing with basketball will be very beneficial since they are heavier and rougher than volleyball , NOW GET STARTED!!!!!" They all started to play , while uchiha followed his own training schedule.
* 14 DAYS LATER *
You can see a group of students play volleyball but what was special was they were using basketball , suddenly they heard a voice " OKAY STOP!!! we will now play a match with normal volleyball , play with it and tell me the difference you feel" when they heard they were first confused but still obliged .
They started playing the match , during the whole match they had shocked and amazed reactions , after the match the encircled coach ukai and uchiha asks " So how did it feel??" " It felt like i had more understanding of ball , I can probably tell the direction where the ball is coming from with eyes closed , just with the help of its spin" He said that with amazed look while others nodded , uchiha smiles and say " Correct , this exercise was to give you a deeper understanding of the ball , and looks like it was successful " uchiha says while others nodded .
"Tomorrow spring qualifiers will start and i want you guys to play those matches with blindfold , your goal is to defeat seijoh with blindfold on , all the matches till the match with shiratorizawa will be with blindfold , even a set of match with shiratorizawa will be with blindfold , GOT IT EVERYONE!!! " They all nodded ' Looks like they also want to test themselves against them ' "One more thing you guys will not use new techniques that you formed till the match with seijoh , you all have to hold back the strength in shots and have to intentionally give some points " they all nodded "You guys will have to loose the first set in order to analyse the other team , Tsukishima i will be leaving it to you" he just nodded ,Tsukishima has found his determination to practice volleyball and even uchiha was surprised when it happened , it happened when Tsukishima blocked one of one spike of uchiha while he was using 70% of his strength , and don't underestimate 70% , his 70% is same as that of Ushiwaka. " We will not use our full strength till the nationals , the qualifier , we will only use brain , GOT IT !!!" "YEEESSSS!!!!"
