章 138: True Gates Chibaku Tensei
In a forest near Konoha where the fight was taking place.
A certain someone was frustrated as he hid nearby the fighting area of Konoha where all the action was taking place.
This sickly red-headed man that was strapped to a machine held the original pair of Rinnegan that was in all Pains eyes.
That's right, he was actually the one in control of the six paths of pain. He was named Nagato.
He was a sickly thin person, but nonetheless, a person with huge amounts of chakra, or mana, that could use the eyes of the sixth paths sage was rumored to have.
It was no easy feat, and there wasn't anyone who could use it as proficiently as him due to the conditions existing for its use.
And right now, this amazing person who was hiding inside of a tree under an illusion was greatly shaken.
'My dream… my goal…'
'Why do so many people stand in my way? Do they not understand what it takes to bring peace?'
Contrary to what anyone might have guessed, including Ren, the Akatsuki organization hadn't just up and came deciding to attack all shinobi agencies.
No, it was only done after meticulous planning, and above all, testing of the overloaded gates they planted their devices in.
But why was someone like him so adamant to catch the tailed bijuu?
It was because of the person with the mask self-named Madara.
All for the sake of their plan to bring peace to the world.
He believed he was the only one who can bring that piece, and at this moment he was prepared to do whatever was needed to create a peaceful world.
One where children didn't have to suffer as he and his two teammates did before.
'Sensei…'
Despite fighting against his teacher that took care of him once in the past, his resolve for creating that ideal world was stronger than his respect for him.
It was just that his idea to bring peace wasn't something any hero or normal person would like.
He believed that for everyone to understand each other and thus bring peaceful times, they needed to share an equal amount of pain. And he was going to bring them that pain, and inflict it on them until they understood it, lived it, and complied with it.
It was a sick view, from a sick child that hadn't managed to grow up correctly and was corrected.
He continued to manipulate the six paths of pain, but he knew that both his master and disciple were soon going to locate him if they hadn't already.
At that time, he would have to go all out.
'There is also that guy…'
Nagato observed through the eyes of his paths, Ren.
Another big obstacle to his goals…
His eyes showed how he was furious.
'All of you need to understand the Pain… so that finally you'll understand!'

Through the eyes of the six paths of pain, Nagato observed the happenings and simultaneously fought against Minato and Jiraiya.
It was certainly impressive of him to do so, but it was taking its toll on his body.
In the first place, t wasn't like he couldn't control the pains from a bigger distance, but the closer he was the lesser the consumption, but since his fight was against two dangerous beings who had a chance of beating him easily, if not for the surrounding monsters that is that kept them occupied, and thus for the lesser consumption Nagato had to bring his real body closer.
But…
Someone like Ren decided to join and Nagato watched s the tides of the battle changed.
Ren destroyed the SSS rank monster who came near him.
And it didn't stop at just that, he moved forth to destroy the rest.
This allowed Minato and Jiraiya to search for his real body.
And as if that wasn't enough, Whitebeard, Tatsumaki, and all strong people on ren's side, including All Might, and Yamato, had all joined this battlefield after they were done.
They had gotten the same mission as Ren, who despite Ren having joined now, it still displayed as Konoha was about to be destroyed.
That needed t be stopped at all costs. And that was the reason they rushed here as soon as they killed the threats for the other agencies.
Whitebeard and Tatsumaki, helped Ren destroy and kill all SSS ranks before they moved on to the SS ranks.
Hashirama seeing their help didn't deny it, and despite whitebeard appearing younger, he knew the strength of Hashirama was higher despite his weakened state.
The battlefield immediately turned in the favor of Konoha, as the Akatsuki members including Obito were pushed to the defensive and it was only a matter of time until they lost. It was something even Obito had noticed. But it seemed like he was prepared for it, as he didn't appear as affected as a certain red-headed person.
"Goddammit!!!"
Nagato who was calm usually, couldn't help but curse as his eyes turned red from the anger.
"They keep getting in the way of my dream…"
He won't forgive them.
As soon as this thought appeared in his mind…
He suddenly saw and heard Minato talking to the paths.
"I found your real body!"
Nagato closed his eyes as he heard that. He took a deep breath.
"Sensei, let's go,"
Minato grabbed the shoulder of Jiraiya, and they teleported.
The next thing that happened as Nagato heard them speak, was him picking up on their energy signal as soon as they reached his place.
This was near Minato's territory so of course, he had planted seals all over the place.
But Nagato wasn't bothered by that.
"Sensei… fourth Hokage"
"Since you can't feel the same way as me and understand my goals, then you must feel PAIN,"
He suddenly opened his eyes, as his Rinnegan glowed in the dark space.
"Konoha shall taste pain,"
He took his arms off the machine and he raised them slowly, despite hearing the sound of people running near his tree hiding place.
Then his palms connected together.
*Clap*

Ren who was fighting a lizard monster, and pummeling it with hits, suddenly stopped in place.
In his form, his intuition was greatly enhanced, and he doubted anyone had as much awareness of danger as him.
That was why he immediately yelled.
"Tatsumaki! grab everyone in one place and put up a barrier,"
He knew that she had her own thoughts of course, but at this moment he didn't care about that.
What he felt was coming can kill even someone like him and Hashirama, so they needed to give it their all.
Tatsumaki's head snapped as she turned to glare at Ren.
"Don't order m-"
She was still yelling at him as she had her arms crossed while floating nearby and fighting a monster effortlessly, but then she saw his expression.
'What's wrong?'
His eyes were so intense that she couldn't help but halt her speech.
Her gut feeling screamed at her to do as he said.
So, while hiding her embarrassment, she decided to do as he said.
"Hmph"
She didn't forget to snort at him, and only when Ren noticed that she began to do as she said did he lower his gaze.
He didn't stop in place and just watch however as he moved closer to whitebeard.
"Old man, step back for a bit, something big is coming,"
Ren warned the old man since they can be considered sort of friends back from before.
The old man stopped punching the giant monster who he was fighting and looked at Ren.
"How big are we talking?"
The old man was interested since he couldn't perceive anything with his observation haki just yet. But he didn't have future sight so there was also that.
"Bigger than all of us here,"
Ren's words came with a serious tone, and someone like whitebeard was easily able to understand that the 'All of us' included even Hashirama.
Whitebeard nodded. He knew Ren well so he trusted his words.
"Let's fall back then,"
Then, when ren looked this time, he noticed Tatsumaki had indeed pulled everyone back, including Minato and Jiraiya who had been about to reach Nagato.
'Were they about to reach Nagato?'
Ren wondered since he had also felt someone powerful was there, and it most likely was Nagato who controlled pain.
Then as everyone was put near Tatsumaki, she erected the strongest barrier she could possibly do and continued to reinforce as much as possible, since now even she as a psychic was starting to feel the pressure of something huge about to happen, and she even felt a hint of death looming around them.
And then, when they all were behind the barrier, finally something above the position where Nagato was had appeared.
It was a huge black sphere of gravity, which Ren identified as Nagato's true Chibaku Tensei ability.
'Shit,'
Ren's eyes contracted as he watched all the fissures of the gates nearby as they were pulled toward the huge dark sphere.
He didn't stay still and hurriedly wanted to grab those fissures and stop them.
*Fwishh*
His form disappeared due to his vast speed, and he suddenly appeared near one of the fissures, ad tried to stop it using a giant air hand he had created.
Despite using all his power, and the chakra of the bijuu, he couldn't stop it at all.
He even felt Tatsumaki try to help him pull it back, as they all knew what was coming wasn't something normal but they couldn't succeed.
'It's useless,'
Ren sighed before he returned behind the barrier.
*Boom*
The fissures got crushed inside of the black sphere one by one and it kept getting compressed and smaller each time. But it didn't lower in power at all, rather it increased as they could all tell. Explosion sounds happened whenever a gate was swallowed.
'I didn't expect them to be capable of something like this…'
Ren wondered then if they could survive that. As it seemed impossible to stop it at all.
As they were all watching this… A voice then spoke up. And they saw the Akatsuki members one by one entering a fissure in the sky and leaving.
And the one who spoke up was Nagato who was sickly looking and appeared very pale as if he was about to die at any moment now.
Above his head hung the sphere of gravity that had consumed the gates and was getting compressed.
With his back to Ren and the others, Nagato said.
"The world shall know Pain,"
And then he stepped through the gate, followed by Obito as he got swallowed in a swirl of spatial power.
They left behind them a sphere of gravity energy that kept contracting and pulsating into itself as if it was about to explode.
