Ruth told me that Donald would come over after he finished handling his affairs, but even after I finished the food on my plate and sat in the chair, letting the sea breeze blow over me for a long, long time, he never appeared in my sight.

I lightly shook the feather fan in my hand, thought for a moment, then stood up, "Has something else happened over there? Let's go have a look."

After finishing my sentence, I picked up my skirt and walked out, with Ruth closely following behind me.

The meeting room was not far from mine and Donald's bedroom. Ruth stepped forward to knock on the door for me, and when I entered, all eyes in the room fell on me.
