When they got to the site, Paul was surprised to find the Braxtons' car idling at their makeshift base. That he was aware of, they weren't set to meet with them, even though it was technically their last day. Typically, they'd do a parting interview if it was warranted, but the camera crew would handle that a week after the close of the investigation. He hoped there was nothing wrong.

In honesty, he just wanted away from this hellhole.

"Wonder what they're doing here." Sammy exited the van.

The sun was high and the temperature hovering near seventy-five degrees. Paul tried to absorb the warmth, let the fresh air fill his lungs, but this place left him bone deep cold. He'd welcome the four-foot snow drifts and arctic blasts in New York over the mild temperature and endless desert of Arizona.

They could keep their spiders and bats and sinkholes and rattlesnakes.

Jerry and Janette met them at the rear of their vehicle.

Jerry extended his hand to Cain. "How's the leg, son?"
