章 35: Suffocating Feeling
After finishing the delicious meal served by Sung kingdom, Woon and his entourage and prince Eros went to the bedroom that had been specially prepared for each person. The men's room was specially prepared at the right end of the hallway while the women's room was prepared on the other side of the hallway. King Zaltarish had prepared the best room for his guests to get a comfortable break before continuing the long journey to attack Binju's main headquarters.
Dan Oh can't fall asleep soundly. Although the room is very comfortable and has a very soft mattress but the effect of a long trip makes her whole body feel sore. The girl wanted to stretch her muscles by doing some light exercise. Doing some muscle stretching movements is the perfect thing that can help her to sleep soundly.
Dan Oh decided to go for a short walk and looking for some fresh air. The scenery around Sung's palace is extraordinarily beautiful. The girl thought that enjoying the view outside could make her feel more at peace and relaxed. Dan Oh walked down the hallway of that desolate and quiet palace. She descended from the stairs and walked towards the terrace that was visible from the inside because of the wide opened door.
From where she stood, she could see the king Zaltarish was standing while turning his back to her. The man seemed to be thinking about something seriously while scaning his gaze though the space. Dan Oh looked at the king's back for a moment in silence then decided to walk closer to approach him.
When the king realized that someone was walking closer toward him, he immediately turned his body around. Zaltarish found Dan Oh was standing before him with a small smile. Seeing the presence of the girl the friendly king also smiled in return of the girl's beautiful smile.
"You can't sleep?" asked King Zaltarish to the Earth girl.
"No, I want to look around the palace" said Dan Oh approaching the king and standing next to Zaltarish. The girl observed the situation around Sung's kingdom that looked so peaceful, serene and beautiful.
"This place is amazing, filled with a lot of beauty and peace that is feel reassuring," Dan Oh said in a commentary on the forest fairy kingdom led by king Zaltarish.
"Are you happy to be here?" asked the king to the girl beside him. Zaltarish observed the twinkle expression of the face that appeared in Dan Oh's eyes. The light on the girl's face was as beautiful as the scene in front of him.
"I am..." Dan Oh replied briefly while looking at the king with a smile.
The girl felt a little strange sensation when looking at the handsome face of the king in front of her. She feels like she's looking at the face of her own lover, Baek Kyung. To be honest , she feels very happy at this time because she was able to see the face her lover who for about two months she did not meet directly like this.
The thing that sets Kyung apart from Zaltarish is the color of the pupils of the eyes and hair between them. Her childhood friend had a dark pupil color with short black hair. While the king Sung has a light brown pupil color with his long blonde hair that is always neatly bound. Dan Oh smiled at herself while observing the face of Zaltarish who was in front of her.
"What's wrong?" asked the man who unable to understand the meaning of the smile that appeared on Dan Oh's face. Although he didn't understand why the girl was smiling, the king also smiled in return.
"Ah no... It's just that you two have a lot of similarities but also a lot of differences," Dan Oh explained.
"Me and your lover on Earth?" asked Zaltarish curiously.
"Right..." Dan Oh said, expanding her smile when the king immediately understood who she was referring to.
"I think right now you're imagining this situation as being with your boyfriend, aren't you..." Zaltarish teasing the little girl in front of him with a playful tone. Dan Oh laughed softly at that statement. It seemed like the wise king was able to guess her thoughts.
"ah right... I've already decided," Zaltarish said suddenly.
" What did you decide ?" asked Dan Oh astonished as she tilted her head. She was unable to guess the direction of the king's conversation topic right now.
"We chose to trust Elmo and hand the Sung kingdom crystals to you," Zaltarish explained later.
"Really? That's great! Thank you for trusting us..." Dan Oh smiled broadly while clapping her hands.
"This is it..." The king of Sung kingdom took out a ring made of green crystals from inside his sleeve and showed it to Dan Oh. The ring has a pattern like two trees that form a chain into one.
"I think it would be better if you hanged the ring along with the crystal in the necklace you were wearing. The shield made by Prince Woon will also hide its aura," Zaltarish explained to the high school girl.
"Really?" said Dan Oh, pulling out a crystal necklace from under her shirt.
"I'll pair them," Zaltarish inform her. Dan Oh nodded and took off her necklace and handed it to the king of Sung kingdom.
The man takes the necklace Dan Oh gave him then unites the royal ring he holds with the girl's necklace. Zaltarish raised the necklace with his hands and made Sung's royal ring crystal clustered together with mondwat crystals on the necklace.
"Do you want me to put it on around your neck?" asked the king make an offer to Dan Oh. The girl instantly smiled and nodded with excitement. She straightted her hair and show her back to Zaltarish.
The sung kingdom leader put on the necklace carefully around Dan Oh's neck and made the girl blushed instantly. She turned her body facing towards Zaltarish while showing her wide and glowing smile.
"You must have felt so happy to imagine that I was your lover who put on a necklace around your neck, right?" the king guessed when observing the happy expression on the girl's face
"Hehe.... Please forgive me," Dan Oh blushed shyly as she stuck out her tongue. It's true, she didn't stop thinking about Kyung when she saw the fairy in front of her. Imagining a reluctant Kyung giving a romantic gift in the form of a necklace and put it on directly to Dan Oh's neck makes the girl can't help but feel happy for that.
"I hope you can be reunited with your lover soon." said king Zaltarish sincerely. Dan Oh nodded and thanked him. The girl felt happy and showed her best smile in front of the king.
The two were unaware that in fact from a distance Woon had been observing them since a long time ago. The prince of Hwon Kingdom was standing behind the wall in the back of the two of them. Woon looked at the two people who were chatting with a tearful look in his eyes.
There was something stifling and felt so suffocating when he saw Dan Oh smiling like that in front of another man. He felt like something huge and heavy had hit him firmly. Woon immediately turned his body so he would no longer see the painful scene infront of him while leaning his body against the wall. Woon's legs felt so limp and made him unable to support his weight. The prince fell on the floor and leaned against the wall with a feeling of affliction.
" Are you really that happy when you're with your boyfriend? Why does seeing your happiness suffocate my chest so much? What have you done to me, Eun Dan Oh?" said Woon quietly and barely audible.
