章 59: A monkey man, a astronaut and a typewriter
"Sir, sorry to disturb you, but some documents need your signature, and it is very urgent" said the Secretary as she walked into Dom's office.
"That is alright, bring them over" said Dom as he looked up and the secretary walked to his desk with three folders of different colours in her hand.
She placed the red, green and yellow folder on his Desk and Dom opened them up and he skimmed through every single one of them, till he signed his signature on the line provided.
"These are for the new project right??" asked Dom as he arranged the folders and he gave them back to the secretary who had been waiting for him to sign it.
"Well sir the red folder is the contract for the new project, while the green and yellow ones are for the authorization of financial allowance for the old projects that are seeking to expand" said the secretary as she explained.
"Ahh I see, but I do not remember discussing any sort of allowance for the old projects" said Dom as he was trying to jog his memory if he had allowed such.
"That is because you didn't sir" said the secretary
"Your father said that I should just authorize them, and give them to you to sign" said the Secretary.
"My father??" asked Dom.
"Did he come to the company today??" asked Dom.
"Well yes Sir" said the secretary as she nodded.
"He arrived early this morning, but he left before noon" said the secretary.
"I see" said Dom as he seemed to be thinking, it was weird for his father to come to the city and not even think of seeing him, but well who knew??? maybe Grandfather pestered his father as he did to him yesterday.
"Well alright then" said Dom.
"Send out the contracts" he said as if it was his father that decided on such, then that meant that the deals were very profitable.
"Yes Sir, I will do so right away" said the Secretary.
"Thank you... and please get me Engineer Felix on the line" said Dom.
"Alright Sir" said the secretary as she nodded and she walked away.
A few minutes later the telephone on Dom's desk rang and he picked it up.
"Sir, I have Engineer Felix on the line, the call will be directed to you now" came the voice of the secretary as she was sitting at the front desk.
"Alright then, Thank you" said Dom as he heard the call cut and it was redirected.
"Ahhh Good Afternoon Engineer Felix" said Dom as he sighed.
"Long time no see, or more in this case, long time since I have heard from you" said Dom as he laughed.
"Mr. Dominic White, what a surprise this is" came the voice of the mana named Engineer Felix.
"When I received your secretary's call, I truly was surprised" he said as he laughed.
"Ahhh I am glad that I made your day" said Dom as he laughed.
"So do what do I owe this call from you today?" asked Engineer Felix.
"Business as usual" said Dom as he went straight to the point.
"Ahh I guessed as much, the great Dominic White, a business man from the womb" said Engineer Felix as he laughed.
"So what can I do for you?" he asked.
"Well I was wondering if you were in need of any new parts, so that we would be able to come to an agreement for us to import the parts for you" said Dom.
"As much as I would have loved to do so, I cannot at this moment" said Engineer Felix.
"Most of my projects are put on hold, I am no longer manufacturing cars, but rather I focus more on tuning and repairing at this point in time" said Engineer Felix.
"I see that is very good, people would rather repair cars than go and purchase new ones" said Dom.
"My thoughts exactly!" said Engineer Felix.
"People are more into repairs than buying new cars" he said
"I am sure that you have may have already heard about one of my workshops burning down" said Engineer Felix.
"Yes... yes I have, and please accept my condolences" said Dom.
"Oh Thank you, things just happen in this life with no reason at all" said Engineer Felix.
"And well most of my money is going through to repair that workshop, seeing as it was one of my main workshops that people found more convenient to go to" said Engineer Felix.
"I really do hope that you are able to fix everything" said Dom.
"Thank you Dominic, Thank you" said Engineer Felix.
"You are too kind" he said
"You know, I will tell you what" said Engineer Felix.
"I usually have some major tuning deals, and I am talking massive, in which the vehicle requires completely new parts" said Engineer Felix.
"I will be sure to inform you if I need some specific parts to be imported" said Engineer Felix.
"That sounds great! Thank you" said Dom as he smiled.
"Alright, I will make sure to keep in touch" said Engineer Felix.
"And I will do so too" said Dom.
"Thank you, and you also have a good day" said Dom as he smiled and he ended the call.
Dom smiled, at least he had gotten some reliable allies, that would be very valuable to them.
Dom had not even put down the Telephone for five seconds until he got another call from the front desk.
"Hello" said Dom as he picked up the Telephone.
"Hello Sir" came the voice of the secretary.
"You apparently have a monkey man, a astronaut and a typewriter here waiting for you" said the Secretary as she could not believe what she was saying.
"*Sigh* Charlie" said Dom as he sighed.
"Let them in" said Dom as he scoffed.
"Alright Sir" said the secretary as she ended the call.
"What's up broooo" came Charlie's voice as he literally kicked down Dom's office door as Michael and Nine walked behind him with plastics in their hands.
"Don't break my office door Charlie" said Dom as he sighed.
"Hey Dom" said Michael as he sat down.
"Hello Michael, Hello Nine" said Dom.
"Yeah yeah Dom, if your door was very strong it would not break at all" said Charlie as he sat down.
"Charlie stop terrifying my secretary" said Dom as he laughed.
"I only told her to introduce us" said Charlie.
"I am the monkey man, Nine is the Astronaut because he is always cold like he is in space, and Michael's the typewriter since he talks too much" said Charlie.
"It is clear that the three of you are jobless" said Dom as he laughed.
"Well no... not exactly" said Charlie.
"Alfred told us that you did not eat dinner yesterday and breakfast today, so we brought you lunch" said Charlie.
"Before you kill yourself from overworking and hunger" said Charlie as he took the plastics from Nine and Michael.
"It was Charlie's idea" said Michael.
"I can see that, and of course he is so lazy as not to carry his own food that he bought" said Dom.
"Oh enough of talking, time for lunch" said Charlie.
"I bought us Chinese food, so Dom can get close to his heritage" said Charlie as he gave Dom his food.
"Wow Charlie, for one you are wrong" said Dom.
"I am not Chinese, I am part Japanese" said Dom as he ate his food, Dom's great, great, great Grandfather was a Japanese immigrant.
"Chinese, Japanese, they are all the same" said Charlie as he did not seem to care at all.
"There is a difference Charlie" said Michael as he looked at Charlie as he ate his food.
"Their cultures are different, only a person as stupid as you cannot difference between them" said Nine as he ate his noodles.
"And only a grouch like you can be in such a foul mood at all times" said Charlie as he talked back at Nine.
"Sheesh, guy has been in such a bad mood lately, I think he needs a girlfriend" said Charlie and Dom and Michael laughed.
"And you need a babysitter" said Nine.
"I do not mind at all Nine, I only care if I can have fun" said Charlie as he was very childish.
"Besides what am I even saying, it is impossible for you to love anyone and for anyone to love you" said Charlie as he laughed.
"Shut up before I shut you up" said Nine.
"Hey, hey, hey guys, no fighting here, this is my office, Charlie quiet down and don't say anything else" said Dom, he did not want a scene in his office.
"Dom is right guys, no fighting here" said Michael.
"Charlie be quiet, and Nine relax and calm down" said Michael and Nine grunted.
"Good" said Michael as he smiled and Charlie stuffed his mouth with noodles.
"At least I do not eat like a pig" said Nine as he looked at Charlie
"Mhahaha hmhehe" said Charlie as he tried to talk with his mouth totally full.
"Ewww Charlie don't talk with your mouth full" said Michael as he and Nine looked disgusted and Dom just laughed, he loved his friends they always found many ways to cheer him up.
