"I need to talk to Love as soon as possible. Tell her it's a matter of life and death—hers." 

Mariano sucked in some air and his eyes widened when he heard Iris's prediction about his sire. His protective instinct kicked in. 

"Are you sure about this?" He asked in a hushed tone while his last conversation with his sire played at the back of his mind. He had a hunch at that time that something was off with his sire with how she was answering his queries. And Iris's pronouncement fueled those hunches he had in his mind. 

Iris exhaled a deep breath. "I don't know. But that's how I feel. The same thing that I feel that something terrible was happening with Calixto but we should not seek him out, rather we must go back to the mansion and I have to do something," she said, cocking her head to the side, confusion was all over her face.
