章 155: There's No Love

Seeing her mother cry like this made Rose's heartache. Unknowingly, she stood from her seat and hugged her mother. For a while, she let her mother cry in her arms. 

"Mom, it's okay. At least now, we know my father's name is Nick. Consider it a blessing if God allows us to meet him one day." 

Rose didn't know why she didn't feel anything right now after hearing that her father was still alive. Like there was something wrong with her heart. It was as if her heart had gone numb. Was it because it had been so long that she had forgotten that she was supposed to have a father? Just thinking about it could only make her smile bitterly. Apparently, her effort to comfort her mother only made her mother cry even more.

"Mom, when I was little, I used to pray that my father would come back to life and be with us. But that was then..." She couldn't stop trying to make her mother feel less sad. Rose poured out what was in her heart.
