章 157: A Weird Dream (2)

Another cute voice woke him up.

Shao blinked, finding himself awake in the same training room.

He was staring at the ceiling as Xiu's small head entered the range of his vision as tears drizzled from her eyes.

"You scared me, brother!"

"I thought you died!", Xie said.

Shao was confused as he found Xiu in front of him.

He shook his head seconds after which he moved his left arm slowly towards Xiu and then patted her head, ruffling her hair a bit.

"I'm fine. Don't cry...", he said as he moved his fingers near her eyes, gently wiping off the overflowing tears.

*sniff*

Xiu then stopped crying, happy that her brother was fine.

She then slowly moved the plates and bowls that she had carefully brought for him.

"Brother, here..."

"Eat...", she said in a low voice.

There were two plates and two bowls in total. The bowls contained some sort of soup whereas the plates contained some rice and meat.

Shao asked, "Did father allow you to bring food for me...?"

She nodded her head.
