章 445: Sophie’s Return Part 2

I looked at the fox girl, who was grinning away, and sighed. I reached out and scratched her ears as I said: "You are never to try something like that again…." 

"I won't, but this time…. No matter what happens, you can't leave us again…." Sophie wrapped her arms around my waist and hugged me tightly. I sighed once more before gently holding her in my arms. My fluff had returned, and it was a good thing, but I still felt sad that she nor I could save her family yet again….

"You will come with me tonight. We will visit Adel. She just messaged me and said she got permission for me to bring you along." I asked ahead of time since I did not want to anger the king by bringing someone else along. After all, I planned to marry Adel later on so I will need to stay on the old man's good side.

Sophie looked up at me and smiled. "So you have been keeping in contact with her?"
