"That was an unexpectedly good shot, Little Miss."

The saviour's reddish-brown eyes clung to hers as he asked in a broken yet clear voice. His eyes had a slight reddish glimmer as eyes gleamed like glassy volcanic rock. Aylin was so surprised because of his sudden appearance that she didn't hear his words.

"Huh?"

A few laughing lines creased both sides of his mysterious eyes as he answered briefly, thickening his voice, "Nothing… Are you ok?"

Aylin was caught off guard by the sudden vibrancy of his voice. She lowered her thick, black lashes. Clearing her throat awkwardly and hiding her blood-stained dagger in her hand, she answered shyly, "Yes, I am fine. Thank you for-"

But, cutting Aylin in the middle of the sentence, another young and slightly feminine voice exclaimed excitedly from behind the saviour, "Princess? I mean… Her Royal Highness, what a pleasant surprise!"

"Princess?"
