章 38: Dream?

"Right? It can't be a dream. T- That thing was really standing in front of me."

Aylin mumbled in a trembling tone. Her voice faded to a hushed stillness. Her breath seemed to have solidified in her throat. She couldn't control the spasmodic trembling within her.

Dexter was still observing her silently. His wrinkled hand was placed on her head. Sighing he spoke at last, "Her Royal Highness, you have excessive mana in your blood. So, when I tried to examine your seal, it got triggered and your mana lost control. It is nothing out of ordinary. You are just too inexperienced to control your mana. That's why you ended up hurting yourself."

Aylin looked up at last. Her voice was deep and dusty as she replied in a small frightened tone, "I hurt myself. So, it was really a dream?"

Dexter asked in a comforting tone, "Yes, Her Royal Highness. It was all a dream and your exhausted mind's tricks. Don't think about it anymore. Are you in pain?"
