“Yep. He told me where to find you,” she replied casually.
My stomach rumbled loudly, interrupting me before I could reply.
“Come on, let’s get some food,” Dana offered, linking her arm to mine.
“Where are we going?” I asked curiously, realizing she was taking me down an unfamiliar path.
“You’ll see. Now spill,” she insisted, her eyes bubbling with excitement.
“Spill what?”
“Come on! All I’ve heard for the past few days are rumors. I want to know everything,” she pleaded.
“What have you heard?” I asked, curious to find out what people were saying.
“Abel and you are mates. But I can tell that’s true from the look on your face when I brought it up,” she said, her lips curling into a sly grin.
I rolled my eyes as she continued.
“I also heard that war might start and you might be leaving-”
“I’m not leaving,” I said quickly, causing her face to contort into even more confusion.
