章 153: Gunshot

Anurag pressed the end of the rifle into his shoulder as he pointed the barrel directly at Rody's head. The weapon felt foreign to his hands and yet the strange sense of power he felt from just holding it was nothing like he ever felt before. It was, in a way, liberating. He wondered why he had never thought of asking Biju to let him see his rifle. Anurag knew fairly little about guns but he could tell that what he held onto right now was a fine specimen. Just one squeeze of his right hand and he could blow the head clean off the boy's neck.

Rody stared at him with pure disgust etched all over his face. That only made Anurag want to shoot him even more. But he took several deep breaths and reminded himself that he needed the boy to act as a distraction for him to make his escape.

'I also need to gather some food supplies to take back.' Anurag remembered.

His eyes lingered on Rody for a while as an idea flashed into his brain.
