章 109: Waterfall

Ray found himself back in the black room with the ink like substance on the floor. He slowly spun in a circle and took a good look all around him. Similar to the first time he had been here, he saw nothing but emptiness as far as his eyes could see. But not everything felt exactly the same as the last time. For one, Ray was very well aware that he was in a dream. He reached out his hand and pinched his cheeks hard. He certainly felt the pain but it didn't help in waking him up at all.

"If only it were that easy…" he said to himself and began walking in a random direction.

Even though he was walking through darkness, Ray could feel that the path he was on was different from before. For one thing, walking felt slightly harder, similar to walking up an incline. He couldn't walk on continuously with minimal effort, instead he felt that each step he took was heavy and needed some form of conscious awareness on his part.
