what I needed to prepare for was the living, not the dead. after all, i knew fully well what a desperate human was willing to do for a chance at survival
'so I need to make a list', I opened the desk drawer and started rummaging around in search for something to write with, and luckily I managed to get a marker

at first I was leaning more towards the golden dart frog due to its strong poison but after finding out how hard it was to get one, I decided to shelf the idea, and with that I had to choose between either a spider or bat species, and so after a more in-depth research into various spider and bat species I decided to go with a spider but not just any spider, I chose a banana spider, the spider species that is said to be the deadliest in the world
and so after making a decision on my target of choice I continued on with my list, the rest of the list was simple acquire a large and sturdy camping bag, a bunch of caned good food, buy a multi tool, and some knives
of course these things might be a bit tricky to acquire since I don't have any money, I could get money by pickpocketing people on the street but my foster parents wouldn't let me go outside without one of them tagging along, I could sneak out at night but then who would I pickpocket?, the lamppost?. I would be more worried about being kidnapped than whom to rob at that point
