“Sick? You are the sick one, Lia. All I have ever done was be there for you when no one else was!” Bobby argued.

Lia let out a laugh. She could not believe what she was hearing.

“You were there for me when no one else was because you made sure they were not there. You created that situation and turned around to play the hero,” Lia said.

Bobby shook his head, “All I wanted was you to come to live with me, Lia. I would have fixed things with your parents for you, eventually. I love you and I always have.”

“Oh, my goodness, Bobby. Do you hear yourself? You would have fixed things with my parents eventually? After seven years? How about with Ryan? How were you going to fix that? What if I had landed up in prison, taking revenge for something you caused?” Lia inquired.
