"The thing between you? Honey, it's not a 'thing' as you would like to refer to it. It's a 'relationship'. You're his girlfriend and he's your boyfriend. Or in this case, he 'was' your boyfriend. Such a relationship shouldn't be casually referred to as a mere 'thing'." Maine said and Annah finally realized why he agreed to end it so easily with her. She actually didn't treat their relationship as something official yet she was careless to call it a 'thing' during their last call.

But even though she would regret it later, there was nothing to do about it anymore. Maybe she and Ricco would return to their previous setup in the academy. Maybe. But it was quite disappointing for her and admittedly, she felt stupid.

It wasn't such a good idea to decide when she was yet angry at Jason. 

Jason. That prick did contribute to her misery right now. She just wished he didn't come back from KIA at all.
