(Van: POV)
[Senate Building, Coruscant, Galactic City]
Sitting within one of the thousands of conference room with the Senate Building I waited patiently.
For I was about to have a meeting in this room.
Specifically with representatives from Republic Intelligence and the Senate Bureau of Intelligence.
Why?
Because just yesterday, after he returned from his two week long stay on Eriadu, old Palpatine had personally made a request to the Jedi High Council for me to assist in the investigation on the attack that took place during the Eriadu Trade Summit.
Specifically in regards to him and the attack on the Naboo delegation.
At first this scared the shit out of me. Since I thought the old Sith had figured out my involvement in the whole ordeal.
But then I realized that was probably not the case.
For if Palpatine had figured out I had bombed him he would've killed me already.
So calming down, and pushing those thoughts to the back of my mind since I would be a fool to simply dismiss them, I tried to think of other reasons Palpatine would personally my side in this matter.
Though nothing other than him wanting to kill me truly stuck out.
'I mean, it's not like that bastard is looking to turn me to the dark side or anything.' I thought.
...
...
...
Wait?
Sighing I resisted the urge to facepalm.
For after thinking about it for a moment I realized turning me to the dark side is exactly something Palpatine would try.
Since that bastard loves playing multiple angles and having numerous plans in place.
And given my family pedigree and my close relationship with Dooku, combined with the fact Palpatine thinks I am just an ordinary teenager who simply sees him as a kind old man and not the horrible monster he is, it's no wonder he would start sniffing around me.
Too bad for him I am as straight as an arrow, and have no intention whatsoever of getting on my knees and gargling his old saggy balls.
I'll never be his bitch.
Instead I'll make him my bitch.
No, wait, that came out wrong.
The door to the conference room opening I saw two people walk inside.
The first was a man, and one I recognized.
Wulf Yularen.
[Insert Image of Wullf Yularen Here]
A man who unlike the recently deceased Wilhuff Tarkin is someone I hope to bring to my side and keep out of Palpatine's grasp.
For he still a decent man, and not his future self who sat on the Death Star and watched as an entire planet was destroyed.
A far cry from his Clone Wars self.
Now as for the second person who entered with Wullf it was a female. She looks to only be a few years older than me with tan skin and dark hair.
Looking at her I can say without a doubt she's beautiful.

If I wasn't already in a relationship with Yennali I'd definitely try my hand at getting a date with her.
But since I am it's hand off.
Standing to my feet I have a curt nod to both Yularen and the woman. "Good to me you both. I am Jedi knight Van Sunrider." I told them.
"Hello master Jedi, I am Wullf Yularen, the representative from the Senate Bureau of Intelligence." He told me.
"And I am Hallena Davis from Republic Intelligence. A pleasure to meet you master Jedi." The woman told me.
Her name triggering a memory from my previous life.
If I am remembering correctly doesn't she become the lover of Gilad Pellaeon by the time of the Clone Wars?
Yeah, I'm sure she does.
Seeing her up close I can see how Pellaeon fell for her, and how he was crazy to let her get away.
But that's between them.
If their relationship even still happens that is, considering all the butterfly effects I am creating.
Oh well, nothing I can do about that.
"Right, so since we're all here now let's get down to business. But before we do I want to let the both of you know you don't have to refer to me as master Jedi. Simply use my name, Van Sunrider." I explained to them.
Which madw both Yularen and Hallena look at me with strange expressions on their faces.
Adar Tallon did the same thing.
Damn, is a Jedi asking people to call them by their given name really that weird?
Because from the reactions I've gotten when I do, it seems like it is.
The two of them continued looking at me strangely for another moment before they returned to normal. They then agreed with my request.
"So, where should we begin?" Hallena asked me.
"No idea." I replied. "Intelligence work is not my speciality. The only reason I am here is at the request of senator Palpatine. Which is why I am more than comfortable in meeting you and agent Yularen take the lead on this agent Devis." I explained.
Again, getting strange looks from both Yularen and Hallena.
It seems I've once again underestimated people's perception of Jedi.
I don't know if that's a good or bad thing.

(3rd Person: POV)
A datapad in his grasp Wullf Yularen pretended to read it while subtly examining the two people sitting at the table with him.
The young Republic Intellignece operative Hallena Davis, and the young Jedi Knight Van Sunrider.
Both of whom were different than what Yularen first expected when he was assigned this mission by his superiors.
Hallena, although quite young at only 21 years of age, was incredibly smart and driven.
She reminded him a lot of his younger self.
The two weeks they had been working together on this investigation Yularen found he and the young intelligence agent shared many things in common.
Including their views on the corruption festering inside the Republic.
Both had experienced it first hand, and both had become jaded and cynical because of it.
Yularen in particular given his longer career in service had seen just how corrupt the government he served was.
First during his time as a captain in the Kwymar Sector Forces. Then when he began his career in the Senate Bureau of Intelligence two years ago.
Which even the festering rot of corruption managed to infect.
Yet despite his efforts to clean up corruption Yularen was continually held back fron doing so by the people above him.
Who he soon came to learn were the most corrupt of them all.
Honestly Yularen was getting tired of it all.
He even thought about taking early retirement now and then.
It would be nice to spend more time with his family.
Yet Yularen didn't for he still held out hope things would change.
Though in reality Yularen was not expecting any suprises.
However that doesn't mean he still couldn't be suprised.
And the young Jedi Van Sunrider had certainly done that.
The young man wasn't like the older Jedi Yularen had encountered.
He didn't have that air of arrogance and righteous.
Yularen found Van to be humble, kind, and most of all in tune with his emotions.
Something Yularen heard most if not all Jedi chose to suppress.
Yet not thing young man sitting in front of him.
No, he was different from any Jedi Yularen had ever met.
Especially in regards to his views of the Republic and even his own oder.
The opinions Van had shared with Yularen and Hallena over these past two weeks of them working together was something he dared not share with another soul.
For fear young Van might be placed under surveillance by either his or Hallena's agencies, or both.
The things Van spoke about were bordering on treasonous.
Yet Yularen couldn't help but find himself agreeing with many of the young Jeri's thoughts ideas.
Hallena was the same way.
She joined Republic Intelligence to serve the people of the Republic, but she soon realized she wasn't really serving anyone at all.
Yet like Yualren she stayed for she believed she could still make a difference.
And just like Yularen those thoughts inside of Hallena were fading.
Van didn't know any of this kind you.
He simply shared his thoughts and was hoping to draw in both Yularen and Hallena.
Not having any idea just how effective he was being.
And he wouldn't until much later.
