Cherish Turner didn't know what had come over her, but on a whim, after taking a shower, she came to his apartment.

It had been a long time since anyone had been here, and he probably wouldn't come again in the future.

Once, she and William Griffith had slept together in this bed. She had cooked delicious food in this kitchen. Now, perhaps there would never be such an opportunity again.

The thought made Cherish feel inexplicably heartbroken.

She was lost in her own world, not realizing that someone had already come in behind her.

As William watched Cherish's lingering silhouette moving back and forth in the room, his heart swelled with emotion.

"Didn't you give the ring back to me? Why are you here now? Actually, Cherish, can't you forget about me, can you?" William could hardly control his excitement. Yet, for some reason, his words came out sounding like a businessman's rhetoric.

Cherish felt as if her heart had been shattered in that instant.
