Hailey Griffith was stunned once again, but then her expression slowly returned to calm. Silent for quite a while, she let out barely two words, "Probably."
Edward Smith looked at her lowered head, just turning and walking towards the bathroom, "I just want to take a shower and sleep."
Hailey Griffith couldn't believe it, was this man for real?
"I'll sleep on the couch." Edward Smith interrupted her words in a deep voice, stopping in front of the bathroom and glancing at her with indifference. He saw her dispirited expression, such a shrewd woman, yet there was a bit of naive longing in her eyes. He curled the corners of his lips, the smile faint and soft.
Hailey Griffith didn't expect him to say that, and by the time she realized, Edward Smith had already entered the bathroom.
The sound of water started splashing, troubling a certain heart.
