Soft sunshine casted upon the city, illuminating the bustling crowd.
Inside an apartment in the city center, sunlight streamed through thin curtains, and the person on the bed stirred and slowly opened their eyes, looking bewildered.
"Knock, knock."
Suddenly, the door was knocked.
Lily McKenzie leaned against the headboard and called softly, "Come in." Alexander Michael looked at the rosy cheeks and bright red lips of the person on the bed and suddenly felt a bit awkward.
"Gurgle, gurgle."
Suddenly, the sound of a rumbling stomach rang out. Lily's face turned red, and she quickly lowered her head, stammering, "I-I'm sorry. I might- I might have been too tired and slept too long." Her downcast eyes, however, showed no emotion.
"It's okay. I'll have someone make you some food," Alexander said.
Looking up with bright eyes at the man before her, Lily blushed slightly and said, "Thank you, anything will do."
