章 38: The Blue Moon
It is being a month since getting the 'Sharp Tail' but William never got bored with the new spear. He got used to it because he mostly spends his day training and sparring with Lin Cian. Lin Cian on other hand was a calm and composed person who would strictly follow his timetable.
He followed his timetable because he can't force his body beyond its limit. But he didn't realize that his body condition was much stable now.
Now he has the strength to swing a spear, he can wield a sword and hold a staff but he chose not to because he felt the dagger was much more comfortable for him.
After the sparring, they had on the first day of Lin Cian's return they were announced to be the top students of the academy. The academy spend money as much as it could to improve the two of them. They did so because in this parallel Atlandus the status matters more than strength. The strength is a bonus for whoever possesses a rich status.
They were treated differently than the other students but both of them refuse to accept it. Instead, they asked the academy to keep their strength a secret until they grow enough to protect themselves. So it was decided not to reveal the identities of Lin Cian and William.
Many of the students of the academy have seen their strength and nobles were included. Nobles were good at scheming behind the back. Even though the personality is not alike Lin Cian always knows how the nobles would react because of his origin. So they decided to set out for missions.
So they decided to leave Chen Xin town to register themselves in 'The Blue Moon'. The Blue Moon was a union created for the explorers and the adventurers. It was established to improve the welfare of the adventurers. Ten years ago it was established by a merchant because of his friends and the people in his neighborhood. The friends of the merchant were explorers and have discovered and recovered many treasures but they couldn't gain a fortune from it. The money they get was only able to pay the debt over them when they went for the exploration and adventures.
They had a trustable businessman in the town and wish to get his help. The merchant helped them establish a guild that would provide enough help and only sold their items at a fair price or auctions and no one can cheat the explorers after that by taking advantage of their uneducated background. The guild got backed by powerful figures and adventurers so no one dare to speak a word against it.
Then it was improved by introducing missions and ranks which could decide the worth of their members and have a good connection with the country by helping it. They also provided basic education for the adventurers. It was at the west of Chai city but it has a branch in Chai city.
Before going to an exploration Lin Cian decided to go to the Sky fall Pavilion once. This time Lin Cian decided to use a faster means of transport not because the others including William suggested it but he have to move out of the academy quick as possible because the hit landed at Luo Pao who attacked William and Lisa which happened a month ago was claimed as a critical hit and his family had demanded an explanation by the lives of William and Lin Cian.
The academy asked them to leave the place as quickly as possible and promised to protect Lisa. After all the principal of the academy was a powerful man and the dean of the academy is a powerful figure across the continent. So no one dares to charge in rashly.
Lin Cian and William left Chen Xin town and reached Chai city. It took two days to travel on horseback. They left their horse out of the city and decided to walk through the city. When they reached the Sky fall pavilion William decided to get in.
When he tried to enter the pavilion he was stopped by the guards because of his clothes. The people without proper dress codes don't have money with them is a common education for them. Suddenly a voice ranged made them bow to William
"He is with me"
The guards remembered the voice which they heard for almost a year. They immediately bowed and let William pass in.
William didn't understand anything because Lin Cian said that he worked at the 'Sky Fall Pavilion' but not the position was known to William. William stood surprised but Lin Cian pushed him in. After a few seconds, William went and looked over the treasures kept in the hall.
Lin Cian went to the main hall to visit the other elder members of the 'Sky fall pavilion'. He was welcomed and they were very much shocked and excited about his arrival. They never cared about the clothes which Lin Cian wore.
They knew Lin Cian was a noble and was amazed that the noble was wearing cheap clothes. After an hour of discussion, he came out and met William who was not satisfied with the exploration of the treasures.
"Do you wish to buy something?" a voice resounded at his back.
He turned back to see a tall and slim figure was staring at him with a bright smile. He smiled back at the figure and nodded his head sideways and said
"No, they can't be compared to your gift. I am searching for a piece with equivalent stats" with a difficult look.
"You can't find one because it was made by our master blacksmith" a female voice rang.
William raised his head to see a beautiful woman coming towards him. What she speak next shook William
"Brother, is this your peer?" asked as she was staring at him.
"Yes he is my friend William," said Lin Cian with a come tone.
William's face widened as he heard those words.
"Brother?"
He looked at both Lin Cian and the woman in front of him and was confused.
Lin Cian smiled and introduced them to each other. First, he looked at William
"William this is Chiro Dhamini of Dhamini hall and she is one of the elders of the 'Sky fall Pavilion' and the wife of the representative of the sect," he said by pointing his hand towards the woman standing near him.
Then he turned towards the woman and started to speak but was interfered
"That was so sweet of you," she said and continued by looking unto William
"Welcome to the 'Sky fall Pavilion'. I hope you would enjoy the treasures here."
William just smiled and looked towards Lin Cian who is smiling at him. Lin Cian and Chiro Dhamini became close as siblings when he was staying at the pavilion. Carbiel and Chiro Dhamini accepted him as a close relative of theirs.
After a few hours both William and Lin Cian set out towards the 'The blue Moon'.
