'It was nothing, I just did what I had to' Alex replied to zero's praises, sounding modest and humble but his face was clearly showing the 'praise me more' expression.

[Yeah, yeah,well some dudes are waiting for you up ahead so try not to ruin the fun too early] zero said lazily,she even yawned.

Alex abruptly lifted his gaze towards the top of the stairs after he heard zero's warning.

"How did you know that?" He spat out loud, almost forgetting Ken's existence

[...] Zero kept quiet.

"Know what?" Ken's confused voice came from behind him,the boy thought that Alex was talking to him since they were the only ones present.

"Oh, nothing" Alex quickly Waved it off,he also abandoned his plan on getting a reply from zero because he knew the stubborn system of his won't give him any answers and just stay mute.

Finally arriving at the floor where the dorms are located,they made their way towards their room on the boys section.

Just after turning the corner into the line where their room was, they were faced with five boy's standing in front,in front of their door to be precise.

Alex's face twitched from anger when he saw how these kids were looking at him with their faces covered with gloating expressions.

He was an immortal alright,a core mage to top it up, these kids were looking at a wild bull like looking at a drowning puppy.

He could have easily dealt with them with the most basic offensive spell he had,even a defense spell would knock them out cold,but Alex held himself back.

Firstly because of zero's advise,he didn't know what would happen if he used his spells though, another reason was Ken who was behind him,he would have to do something about this kid too,to prevent even the slightest chance of words of what happened from leaking out,he always prioritized safety and cautiousness over remedy.

Ken looked at the five boys before them and shivered,he had only been in the school for just less than a day yet he was already going to get beaten up.

He turned his gaze towards Alex who was in front of him,Alex had his back to Ken so Ken wasn't able to know what type of expression Alex had on,he just presumed that Alex was also scared like him, after all,no matter how he thought about it, there was no way two of them could fight off five people.

Ken could only course at their bad luck and stepped forward,ready to beg with all his might, hoping they would by then receive less beating.

Alex looked at the five boys in front of him like he was looking at five kids who were threatening to hit him with their toy swords if he didn't give them candy.

He sighed,he really thought it was a serious headache to deal with them because it would just be a waste of his precious time,he had better things to do.

"Hehehe,if it isn't Alex, hello bro, care to accompany us for a little walk?"one of the boys asked with a disdainful smile on his face while stepping towards Alex and ken.

He had a large and muscular build,he was also very tall,even taller than Alex,his image would be enough to make any other weak minded teenager pee Their pants while others would think twice before making trouble with him.

But Alex showed no reaction to this and just kept thinking about something else.

"Umm...can we please pass on this kind offer of yours?We really have something important to do at the moment,how about another time?" Ken said, while showing the brightest smile that he could muster,he was already sweating buckets.

What stupid walk are five people inviting outsiders to,you guys are clearly trying to beat us up,why don't you just talk a walk by yourselves' Ken yelled inwardly but was too scared to even cough a strong objection in front of these five.

"Oh? And who is this little guy? Are you perhaps with Alex?haha,what a joke,hey little fella,how about you turn into our errands boy,we can protect you in the school,Alex is just a loser who's gonna get his ass handed over pretty soon"

Another boy walked forward and said with flashing a smile,he looked quite skinny,even skinnier than Ken and anyone would get the impression that he was an AIDS patient.

The only thing that was out of place were his blood red eyes that would make anyone run away in fear,this was very unusual for people of his age.

Ken drew a gasp and stepped back subconsciously, almost stumbling over,he looked at Alex who was still standing in one place while looking at them like he wasn't bothered at all, like none of what was happening had any connections with him.

Actually,Alex was really not bothered and was also uninterested at the same time,he was just thinking of a way to entertain himself with them while avoiding being suspicious or anything of the like.

Suddenly, Alex looked at the boys with eyes that a psycho doctor would use and a sinister grin creeped onto his face.

[Holy moly,this isn't going to be good] zero sighed as she was able to tell what Alex was thinking about.

"What's the matter? going crazy already? We haven't even touched you yet" one of the boys hissed angrily from behind the rest.

He felt irritated with the expression on Alex's face and felt like wiping it off with a punch,he felt Alex was making fun of them, making them look like idiots.

The boy rushed towards Alex,he was a few steps behind the buy with a big build.

He was just about to pass by the muscular boy when..

Yes,Alex had decided to disregard zero's warning,well,not disregard actually,he had decided to use spells around people but only the ones that would be impossible for normal humans to notice.

So he wasn't disregarding her, right??
