death is many things.
your best friend, the last person you meet, and even the relief after a long and painful life.
if you die alone, death was there waiting for you and always offering you something. whether it be a final meal, a drink, or a cigarette.
and when it came down to it, you would be sent to the afterlife.
death was also understanding and patient.
she knew people had loved ones on the side of the living, and you could wait for as long as you needed for your closure.

that was the natural order of things, and if death felt generous he let you have a second chance.

death always appeared the same no matter the person.
black cloak, a hat that covered her face, and a black umbrella that hid the sunlight.
sometimes the umbrella was a scythe, sometimes a cane... but everyone subconsciously knew they were going to a better afterlife.
everything that lives was in death's control, for her power is the main force of every single omniverse.
where there is life, there is death.
everything that lives belongs to death, it doesn't matter if you have no "concept" of death. it doesn't matter if you have immortality, when death says it's time, it's time.
there is no arguing.
death didn't even have to touch you to kill you. if she wanted to all she had to do was think about it and you'll lose your life.
but right now, death was a...mother? a father?
it doesn't matter since gender doesn't apply to death, but technically her soul was always female, even if she was born as a male.
after all, even death had a duty to be fulfilled, as azrael angel of death.
but as right now?
said angel of death was enjoying life with her family. and fulfilling her role as death.
