章 55: Chapter 10: Patching up All Might.
"Yuki-shounen, are you willing to shoulder the fates of millions and face their worst foe?" All Might asked Yuki with his blue eyes that seemed to see through Yuki's very soul.
Yuki just smiled and matched his gaze and chuckled, "sure, but I will let you ask the same thing after I patch you up. Just get out of your muscle form and bare your torso. You will be the first person to see my quirk in action, most of them think I am quirk less because I never used it."
All Might removed his costume's torso and the cape as he lay down and braced himself thinking that Yuki would have some kind of healing or regeneration quirk, but little did he know that his world view was going to shatter like a pane of glass.
Yuki activated his quirk and All Might witnessed a sight that he will never forget, a sight that was so pure that a believer was born in a world where people no longer cared about religion. Yuki floated off the ground as a golden halo formed on his head and his azure wings unfurled themselves.
Yuki looked at All Might who had sat up in shock of the sight before him, he just smiled as he waved his hand to gently make All Might lie down again and softly prayed, "may the light bless you, [God's Grace]"
All Might could feel a surge of vitality flowing through his body as the wounds started healing and the damage that he kept accumulating over the years was slowly getting better, the wound on his stomach was visibly fading away along with his internal injuries.
All Might was feeling like he was in a warm embrace which was soothing the scars time had left on his body and soul. A few minutes later, All Might stood up and looked himself in the mirror. His normal form no longer looked like a skeleton, but a regular person, a bit skinny but still like a normal person in his forties.
He shifted to his muscle form and voila, the beefed up All Might came into view, his tanned skin now had a bronze glow that shone on his stacked muscular frame. He could not help but get emotional and he took Yuki who had stopped using his quirk, in a tight hug.
Yuki returned the hug and patted the back of the super-emotional All Might.
"Now, you don't have to be in a hurry to retire and when you plan on retirement, give me that quirk of yours. For now, both our dreams need the symbol of Peace to stand tall." Yuki said with a smile.
All Might nodded and the two had a long chat about their plans for the future and then went to their rooms for a good night's sleep.
All Might spoke about his plans to join the UA as a teacher to look for his successor and train him to be the next symbol of peace after him. He also spoke of the dilemma he was in now, he had found his successor but he was uncertain on what he would do now.
Yuki advised him to follow on his plans to join UA, everything is the same as it was before, only things that have changed are the discipline training and the fact that they will join enforcement, they will be soldiers instead of being heroes. He could still be a teacher and guide the future of the world and slowly help change the mentality of the people.
This was another plan that Yuki had made, the schools will start teaching the children in the correct ways of morality, comradery and discipline. The workplaces will follow the same and slowly the society will come to change it's norms, what the people normally do are recognized as the norms and that is what should be changed.
All that's impure shall be purged and the society shall be reborn. They discussed about what to do with the people that were outcasted by the society just because of their quirks.
All Might came up with the idea that they could help the parents and children through therapy, one that will help them adjust instead of repressing the child's quirk. They would help the children control their quirks and the violent or hostile tendencies they developed because of their quirks.
The laws can be made overnight but what's hard is to make the people come to terms with it, and for that we need someone to convince them on how wrong their ways were. "Only a person who is very charismatic and is stubborn like a bull could pull it off, and you seem to fit the profile quite well, don't you?" Yuki asked with a smile to which All might could only chuckle and nod, accepting the task.
The next morning:
The next morning came quite soon because All Might and Yuki spent a long time in planning and discussion. The press conference was their first priority of the day and both of them knew how crucial it was to their mission.
Yuki dressed up and asked Mellissa and Himiko to join him and All Might for the day. They had a hearty breakfast and then were escorted by the security detail to the venue of the press conference.
The venue was decided to be an auditorium, where not only the press, but also the common populace was allowed entry. The podium was prepared and the people were allowed to their seats after the media channels had done their necessary tech set up. The clock struck 10 and the doors opened again, a young man and two girls walked in and behind them came a figure that no one had expected to come.
It was the number one hero, the man who is known as the symbol of peace, All Might! A security detail covered their entry and secured their sitting arrangements while Yuki walked up to the podium.
He was wearing a black shirt with an ash grey tie with off white formal trousers and a pair of sleek leather boots. He tapped the mike once to see if it was working and then started with his deliberation.
"A very good morning to the ladies and gentry, since all of you in attendance know of my identity, I will skip the introduction and come to the point of out conference. Yesterday, in the diet meet, I had spoken of the problems that our society is currently facing and a few measures on how they could be solved. The security issue was dealt with by the Special Forces, the economic issue will be handled by yours truly by the next year."
"So, you can rest assured that there shall be safety, the economy will improve along with the standard of living. But what about the bias? And I am in no means preaching about equality, none of us are the same as the other and each of us is unique in their own way."
"Some are born with talent, while some are blessed with beauty, some with the desire to strive further and some with the guts to never give up. All of these can pave a person's path towards greatness. You can have one, two, a few and maybe all of these traits and they are what made you be successful in life."
"Some might say that they have nothing, but they are the worst of the lot. Leeches just waiting for the call of death. It's fine if you don't have talent, it's fine if you were not born with a handsome face, if you did not have a silver spoon in your mouth, you could at least make a point to strive for a better future. Even if you could not reach 100 you could surely reach 80, but if you don't even put in the effort, you won't even get to 30. Now judge yourself, what's better, an 80 or a 30."
"Even if you were not born with a silver spoon, make sure your child does. If you are not handsome, make sure you marry a pretty lady and hope that your child gets some of her genetics. The world is moving towards meritocracy, a world where the competent will be valued, let me state an example. If my child turns out to be less competent than yours, is it fair for my child to get a job while your child does not, just because that is my child?"
"No, right? Each and every child shall have equal opportunities and how far they can go solely rests upon themselves. Corruption and Nepotism shall have no future, and the ones who dare to practice them shall be judged under strict laws. Not the civil ones, but martial ones. The next Diet session shall be about the revitalisation of the penal code, so much so that your souls will quiver at the very thought of law breaking."
The hall was in silence as the ones sitting in the hall as well as the ones sitting in front of the screens felt a wave of blood thirst from the last sentence that they involuntarily gulped down.
Yuki showed gave them hope for a better future while he told them to prepare for a wave of change, and finally he gave a reminder to those who don't wish to come back to the path of law-abiding people.
"Now that I have opened my deliberation, if there are any questions from your side, please ask away." Yuki said as he beckoned a stage crew member to hand him a bottle of water.
