"Open up!" I demand, banging on the door again. "Come on! I know you're there, Frank!"

Getting Jake here was a fucking nightmare, and I nearly abandoned him twice.

You'd think he'd want my help to get him to a healer, but Jake chose to yell and scream the entire time. He was in pain, I was willing to admit that, but his outbursts weren't because of that. Instead, he used all his energy to swear and curse me. I deserved it, considering the state he was in, but it didn't help anyone, and I wasn't interested in hearing it. So, I did the only thing I could in the end. 

I broke his jaw.
