Rika clicked her tongue as she watched her arrows being stopped by bones.
"Why don't you die quickly?" - Eri asked as she began to lose her composure - "Just die already!"
Rika was silent as she watched a small battalion of skeletons come dangerously close to her position. She quickly picked up a small sphere and threw it to the ground.
Eri was surprised to see this because she knew what that sphere was, she had seen how Rika used it to be able to distract the monsters, so she quickly ran behind a rock to prevent the bomb from being effective on her.
Rika smiled slightly when she saw this as she threw the bomb.
Without anyone being able to do anything about it, a huge luminous explosion invaded the room, only for the sound of falling rocks to appear next.
Eri quickly peeked out when she heard this, only to let out a cry of fury as she saw how Kouki had disappeared - "BITCH!"
Eri growled in irritation before ordering her minions to stand down, now that she had been discovered, it was best to escape until the time was right to capture HIS Kouki.
"I see things didn't go as well as you said" - said a low voice.
"Keep quiet, this is just a slight complication to the plan" - Eri replied while frowning and looking around - "Where are you?"
"I'm organizing an escape route, those were Cattleya-sama's orders" - replied the voice neutrally.
"Still not done with the attack? And I thought the demons were much stronger" - Eri snorted as she clicked her tongue because she could hear the sound of footsteps - "We better get going, there's nothing we can do anymore"
"Ok, just go to the agreed place, there we can evacuate you" - replied the voice as a small sphere of light appeared floating next to the girl - "By the way, I recommend you to do it quickly, I can feel a prominent presence approaching this place"
"Ok, I'll come right away" - Eri replied as she looked in the direction where her prey had escaped before letting out a cry of rage again. She quickly shook her head in an attempt to calm down, before surrounding her body with a dark aura.
The sphere of light continued to hover in place before approaching a pillar, and seeing how Rika was looking at it coldly - "I knew it, smart move, yet stupid at the same time, you could have used the opportunity to actually escape, but you didn't because you wanted to gather more information."
Rika didn't answer, she just aimed at the floating light with her bow - "Yes, though it all ended well, but at the same time I'm confused, why did you talk even though you knew I was still here?"
"I don't have to answer this question" - the voice replied with a cold tone - "You are no one to order me, so I recommend you not to press your luck"
Rika didn't say anything else, she just stood on guard as she watched the floating light disappear.
When she saw that this strange presence had completely disappeared, she let out a small sigh of relief because she could sense that the creature behind that sphere, was extremely dangerous.
Rika was so focused on thinking about everything she had heard, that she didn't notice how a strange golden mark had appeared on Kouki's neck.

Eri quickly looked around, searching for the person who would have to help her escape.
"Nakamura, you were the other traitor?" - Daisuke asked in surprise at the sight of one of his companions.
"Hiyama" - Eri growled as she walked to her fellow traitor - "I have so many things to tell you, but I'm going to wait until we're somewhere safe."
Daisuke flinched when he heard this because from the girl's expression, it was obvious that the girl was not happy with her actions against Kouki.
"You can leave that for another time, now we have to get out of here" - said a neutral female voice. She was a girl of about 16-18 years old from the tone of her voice, and her general appearance couldn't be noticed because she was wearing a grey blanket to cover her features.
"You're our contact?" - Daisuke asked as he raised an eyebrow.
"Yes, you have no need to know my name, you just need to know that I work for someone who wishes for you to fulfill their wishes" - the woman replied as she looked at the two students - "Anyway, we better get out of here, we did what we had to do."
"I failed to subdue Kouki-kun" - Eri growled as Daisuke frowned because he didn't accomplish anything, he couldn't even kill Kouki like he had done with Cloud.
"Relax, I already took care of that while you escaped" - replied the woman as she looked at the girl - "As for your wife, I didn't get a chance, so you'll have to wait for the next one"
"Tch" - Daisuke clicked his tongue as Eri's eyes glittered slightly.
"We can talk about this later, we're leaving now" - the woman said as the three of them disappeared from the place.

"Eri betrayed us?" - Ryutaro asked in surprise as he looked at his girlfriend who was devastated by this news, after all, she was best friends with the person who had betrayed them.
"She tried to attack Amanogawa" - answered Rika with a frown - "Possibly to control him by taking advantage of the fact that he is injured and can't defend himself."
"Eri-san is an expert in black magic" - muttered Kaori as the others looked at each other apprehensively, after all, there might be another traitor among them.
Rika watched this with a frown because it was obvious that all her classmates, no longer trusted each other, not even their best friends.
"Anyway, we'd better leave this for another time and concentrate on the problems in front of us" - said Rika as she looked around - "Remember that Shizuku-san is covering our vanguard while we waste time."
The heroes remembered this detail before looking at each other seriously.
"How much mana do you have, Kaori-san?" - Rika asked as she looked at one of the few people she could trust.
"Not much, the wounded are too many" - Kaori replied honestly because in hard times like this, she couldn't pass off as if everything was fine and give them information that could cause adverse effects on future decisions - "Every time I get my mana back, I use it to try to heal the most severely wounded of our group"
"Ok, thank you for your honesty" - Rika said while looking around - "You heard her, we are in such a dire situation, that our only lifeline, is depleted, that's why we have to do everything we can to try to reduce their problems, besides, we have to concentrate on not taking too much risk or Kaori-san's burden will increase instead of reducing"
"What do you want us to do?" - asked a slightly upset boy - "We're on the lowest floors of a fucking maze that can't connect to the entrance so we can get immediate help! We're suffering from the siege of a group of demon-led monsters, and our greatest offensive power is out of combat, our healer is exhausted and our wounded keep increasing!"
The heroes looked at each other with concern that these words were true. They kept praying for help to appear, but deep inside them, they knew that this help would not come until their corpses were devoured by the beasts. There was no need to sugarcoat the situation, they were lost and making a futile attempt to survive.
"Are you a traitor, by any chance?" - Rika asked while looking closely at this boy - "If so, I understand why you say this kind of words, after all, your safety is assured."
The heroes looked at their companion with hostility when they heard this as the boy began to sweat.
"Wait, I'm not a traitor, I'm just being honest with the current situation!" - The boy exclaimed as he looked around in fear.
"Yes, you are being honest, but you should know that in a situation where our end is certain, we only have to keep fighting for the slightest chance to survive" - replied Rika as she grabbed the boy by the neck and looked at him with hatred - "We have to do everything we can to keep living one more minute, because the longer we are alive, the more chances it is that someone manages to save us!"
The heroes looked at each other in surprise, after all, these words made sense. If they continued to survive, it was possible that a miracle would happen, but if they gave up, they would die without hesitation.
"Again, I ask you, are you a spy, a traitor?" - Rika asked as she looked the boy straight in the eyes.
The boy began to sweat as he stammered out the answer.
The heroes looked at their companion with more and more hatred because it was obvious that he seemed to be hiding something by his very strange reaction.
Rika threw the boy to the ground as she looked around - "Remember, we just have to survive."
