Lucia reluctantly walked out from the room. She was politely ushered out by Augustus' men. She took a one last look and seen how sad Louise. She turned back and hugged the girl for the last time.
"Eat well alright. Do your therapies seriously so that you can walk steadily. I will call you if I'm not busy."
She told her many things and Louise nodded her head in obediently.
"I will. I will." Louise said on the verge of crying.
She felt that it will be the last time she will see Lucia.
"Take care Louise." Lucia resolutely walked out from the room while wiping her tears away.
Augustus stayed silent the whole time. His presence was diminished by half and he didn't mind it.
As long as after this she could recuperate without any problems.
When Lucia was gone, she cried.
Augustus wanted to comfort her but he knew that it will only make her feel awkward so he just stayed silent. Silently accompanying her as she let herself out.
It was a very long time since she cried so hard. All her frustrations were let out. There was helplessness in her crying and sorrow.
This made the man frown. He stood up and poured a glass of water for her.
"Don't cry anymore..." Augustus said while wiping her tears away with his thumb.
The calloused hands, made Louise jolt. She looked up to him with red eyes. The tears wetted her long lashes.
"It will make our Pretty Baby ugly when you cry like that..." He said lightly.
"Who's your pretty baby?" She retorted instantly.
"You called me Handsome brother last time, so I called you pretty..." His voice trailed off while observing the visible change on her face. The visible change of her face made his day.
She remembered!
That night, when she woke up, she thought that she was still the 12 year old Louise.
"That..." Her eyes averted. She looked at the floor.
Augustus wanted to pat her head because of this. The corner of her eyes had a trace of tears and he drooped her head like she was bullied.
"What?" He asked like he didn't see how awkward her face looked.
He tried to bit his lips to prevent his laughter from coming out.
"Pfft..." A stifled laughter escaped.
This made Louise look at him with wide eyes then she became stunned. It was then she really noticed how he looked. Then she stared at him unabashedly. He is really handsome.
His handsome face made her fidget.
"Are you hungry? I bought food." He diverted the conversation. His reddened earlobes was the only change could be visibly seen.
"Are you shy Uncle?" Louise asked suddenly. This made the man halt.
Uncle?
She called her uncle? Is he that old?
