The main gate of the German fortress-like facility.
Under the rain, a convoy of six large German-style military cars drove slowly through the mud, the destination was obviously the garrison's fortress.
A tall figure quickly swept through the entrance, taking advantage of the night to [sneak] into the rear compartment of a supply truck.
Kyle did not waste time and entered the back compartment of the car, which was only covered in leather cloth. When he saw two fully armed German soldiers sitting inside, he whispered, "Too easy."
Suddenly, a figure rushed to one of the two soldiers in the car, covering his mouth with his left hand, while at the same time he sending half of the Nepalese saber into the soldier's heart with his right hand.
Having a comrade-in-arms killed in next to him, the another soldier reacted to the enemy's attack and was pulling out a pistol, when the young man appeared in his face.
A steel scalpel was slammed into the first soldier's eyes first, then Kyle took a sharp knife and jammed it at the last soldier's cervical vertebra.
"Not bad, but you are too slow." Kyle, who was watching the last soldier dying, winked, and gave him another knife to the forehead.
"It's about time I use these things." Kyle shrugged and started drawing two things from his {Card Space}. Then he threw the soldier corpses out of the car while holding a blue liquid in his hands.
After a little bit of debating, he splashed the vial of blue liquid on his head. It started burning even him as it moved down his body. This was a special solution he invented with [True Medical Proficiency], [Chemistry Proficiency], and [Biochemistry Proficiency] he extracted from some scientists and nurses at the hospital. The few cards he got from Howard were not very useful for the simple solution Kyle made.
Since the German military facility is located in the rear of the frontlines, there were countless vehicles for transporting materials going in and out every day. The soldiers at the front gate did not inspect the rear compartments of each vehicle one by one.
The transport convoy would not expect that their own cars would enter the facility carrying an enemy super soldier.
After the transport vehicle stopped and the fire stopped, Kyle came out from the back of the car and hid between the bunkers. This time, the infiltration was not difficult compared to the large German fortress raided last time.
The light rain had completely stopped around now. Under the dim lights in the night, a large facility was located in the fortress, and soldiers were constantly transporting material boxes inside.
Many soldiers with guns patrolled and wandered, there were also high-end weapons such as tanks deep in the base, all of which were protecting the factory.
"I doubt these things would be very useful, plus I could always make more." Kyle said to himself, looking at a cube in his hand, then turning around to gaze up. He could see a 20-meter-high factory building with a faint sound of mechanical grinding coming from it.
Kyle decided to wait first for Steve to arrive.
...
"You are pretty fast." Steve dragged a soldier's body with a wry smile behind him. He was out of breath after chasing after Kyle.
"Did you also sneak in through a car?" Kyle asked in confusion.
"Of cour- Shit! Kyle! What happened to you?" Steve was looking at Kyle's blue head with utmost worry.
"Kyle, what the hell is going on? You were attacked with something!" Steve stepped on the struggling German soldier and looked at him in shock.
He never wanted to make some bad excuse by using Steve's friendship. Still, he would have to talk to the army sooner or later if he just kept growing.
"Steve I found this vial of liquid in a case! I was even splashed with the liquified blue thing by a frightened soldier, after it went into my eyes and mouth, my body started burning and becoming stronger!" Kyle's face was displayed full of fear for Steve.
Kyle sighed and explained to Steve slowly: "I remember now! My battle from around ten days ago. The enemy army was stationed there. In the warehouse of the large fortress, I found a tube of the same blue reagent from the commander, and I wanted to bring it back to the base for scientists to study, but unfortunately the vial was lost when I escaped, now that same liquid just flowed into my wounds!"
Steve had no doubts about Kyle, and asked urgently, "Is the liquid light blue, and sting when it went inside you?"
Kyle nodded and answered: "That's right. The liquid merged with my blood, and I felt extreme pain. My body seemed to undergo an unprecedented mutation, with strength and speed exceeding that of ordinary people. It seems like a stranger version of when I saw you after you became a Super Soldier, except I had less of a physical change."
"Kyle, congratulations! It seems that you found a super soldier serum that Dr. Abraham Erskine created a long time ago in Germany. I never knew they existed, and it even successfully fused with your body." Steve said happily.
"What?" Kyle looked incomprehensible.
"Yeah. The doctor was originally from a German science department, and he fled the institute later. I heard that some people in the upper ranks of the German army also used the original serum. I didn't expect them to keep one. Fortunately, you somehow got it." Steve sighed as he was really happy for Kyle. After all, the opportunity to become a Super Soldier was generously given to him by Kyle before, and he has always been ashamed of this.
Kyle was thinking about how many plot holes his story had, but based on Steve's 100% trust in him, this is a lie that he would never doubt and can be justified easily. Steve is practically helping him justify his story even more at his point.
After Steve believes it, he will tell the military when he goes back, then the matter of Kyle having a mutated version of the serum will be released. Good thing Steve trusts him unconditionally or this would never work in a million years.
"I was worried about you originally for future fights, but now you are a pseudo super soldier, plus you have more combat experience than me. The chance of us sneaking into the enemy's facility to rescue our soldiers has greatly increased!" Steve said excitedly.
Kyle decided on splashing his head instead of a fake injection was because he had minor Trypanophobia, and because he wanted to have a secret shared with Captain America so they could become slightly more closer. Secrets bring people closer together after all.
'Definitely not Trypanophobia. This is a much better excuse anyway, right?' Kyle was sweating whenever he had to think about needles piercing his conscience body. This was one secret reason he dodged the original Super Soldier Experiment. For him, knives and pain were nothing compared to an injection. It was always a small psychological weakness.
"Okay Steve, but if anyone asks, tell them I wasn't splashed with the vial, but instead that I injected it after seeing 'Super Soldier' on a briefcase. I am too embarrassed that I almost died and almost failed, so please tell them that in a do-or-die situation, I injected myself to save me in a deadly situation, and then defeated the soldiers attacking me." Kyle spoke clearly to Steve.
In return, Steve replied, "Kyle, we are closer than any family, I will cover you any day or any night because we are best friends."
'It seems [Super Soldier] couldn't completely fix his brain. Well better for me anyway.' Kyle then decided to look around the area so Steve wouldn't be suspicious of his next words.
...
After waiting for some time, Kyle saw soldiers that were using weapons from [Leftover Tesseract Energy Storage] for their weapons. He figured this out before and realized he wouldn't need to waste any of his own on this mission, and could even find more possibly stored.
Glancing back to Steve next to him, he said quietly with a smile on his face: "Steve, we should split up."
