章 17: Fae Assassin

Luke slipped out of bed with a frown on his face as he walked up to the roof. He left his armour and weapon in the room, and walked wearing ordinary plain elven clothes with low defence power.

Slumping down to the ground with his eyes closed, and sitting in the lotus position, Luke began to reminiscent about the two new skills he had acquired tonight.

He had unlocked two innate abilities which were <Rock Skin> and Royal Charm. The both of them were each unlocked after getting a specific amount of stats, giving Luke more knowledge of the system.

Luke was extremely shocked after getting the <Royal Charm> skill, and understanding how powerful it would become in battle. If <Charm> was powerful if properly cultivated, then, <Royal Charm> would be absolutely overpowered. It not only allowed him to just make his presence known, but it literally gave him the ability to control anything with a weaker mind.

Despite <Rock Skin> being powerful, it was just not on the level of the OP <Royal Charm>. Luke knew that he had to cultivate and train before honing his energy and Ranking Up his <Rock Skin> to <Metal Skin> which was truly the bane of almost all ranged attackers. Even if it wasn't as powerful as <Diamond Skin> or the legendary <Immortal Body> it was still a very powerful ability compared to <Royal Charm>.

'It seems that I really need to farm more monsters tonight.' Luke thought, but as he was about to go he felt his energy spike as a screen appeared before his face.

'Fuck, Fay is endangered again! That girl has a thing that attracts deadly powerhouses!'

'I have less than a week, but an I strong enough to beat a dimensional beast? It might have <Advanced Cosmic Flash> or <Advanced Homing Doomsday>!'

'I need to get even more stronger, I feel that this won't be as simple as it seems.'

Luke turned, and was about to leave when he suddenly stopped and glared at his right before coldly opening his mouth and speaking, "You can come out now, and don't think I'll hesitate to chop you to bits if you make a wrong move."

A chuckle rang in Luke's ear before someone stepped out of the shadows with a broad grin on her face. She was a tall blond beauty with glowing bright silver eyes, and a pale face with golden curvy waist-length hair.

"Smart elf, but tonight you're fated to die." The strange lady said as a car sized magic circle suddenly appeared behind her body.

' Demon or Fae? Who wants a royal elf to die so badly, and dares to do it in the elf's territory?' Luke thought in bewilderment as he looked strangely at the assassin before scoffing silently.

"Who are you and what race are you from? I don't really enjoy killing elves." Luke asked lazily before yawning in boredom as he cracked his knuckles.

"I, Venice, the almighty Fae assassin is here to end you!" The Fea said before suddenly shifting before Luke's eyes as the magic circle behind her spins crazily.

Her hair suddenly rose vertically while swaying slightly as her eyes glowed even more brightly. Her teeth extended into claws, and her fingers into claws as her pale skin hardened visibly before turning completely gold. She let out a loud ear-piercing roar before explosively leaping towards Luke with her golden daggers on full display.

Slash!

A white light flashed, as the shape-shifting Fae assassin, Venice ruthlessly kept slashing wildly with the urge to kill burning in her glowing silver eyes. Luke effortlessly dodged all her attacks with his <Eyes Of Chaos> clearly showing it's worth as he was always a move ahead of the enemy.

'Dare to assassinate me? Stupid... really, really stupid.' Luke sneered as his body immediately blurred before he disappeared completely from Venice's sight.

Slash~!

Clang!!!

Luke grinned profoundly as he made his appearance with <Dark Sabre> in his hands. Both swords surprisingly collided as a loud sound rang out before Venice was sent skidding back in shock.

She immediately dashed forward, but was unexpectedly countered with even more force than before. Luke who was already impatient immediately released his internal energy, making Venice spit out blood while clutching her belly as she was forced down on one knee.

"Anyone who stands in my way will... die." Luke said as a cold white light flashed instantly, before a head dropped to the ground while the golden body fell alongside it before reverting to it's normal state which was the pale skin

Shock was evident on Venice's face as she was killed in a blink without given a single chance to retaliate. Luke coldly flicked his sword before grabbing the limp body of the dead Fae and frowning instantly.

'So she's not dead yet? I'll kill the real one if it dares cross me as it's doppelganger did.'

'I won't mind killing a few Fae...'

On a secluded building away from the elven castle was an exact replica of the 'Venice' which was just killed. Shock was evident on the girl's face as her lips subconsciously parted, revealing sharp pearly fangs.

"How? It was a doppelganger, that's completely impossible!"

The real Venice frowned deeply as she felt something terribly wrong was going to happen. She immediately ran to grab her weapon, and was extremely frightened to see the elven prince heartlessly glaring at her with a ferocious glint in his eyes.

"Tell me where those twins are in the elven kingdom or else!" Luke threateningly drew out <Dark Sabre> while coldly glaring at Venice who was cowering in fear.
