For a moment, both patrolling officers were utterly baffled, clueless about what was going on.
"Hmm, not bad," Ye Luo remarked while reading a book in his hands, speaking despite having the book upside down yet seemingly engrossed, which left Luo Jingxuan beside him at a loss for words.
This guy really was an oddity!
"Thanks, brother! Thanks a lot, brother!"
At that moment, Brother Li, the baby-faced man, and the old-looking man all let out a sigh of relief, looking at Ye Luo with grateful expressions, instantly turning from ferocious tigers into docile rabbits.
"Alright, stop bothering us with national affairs and get lost!"
Ye Luo said impatiently, and immediately, the three guys scrambled away from their sight.
"Okay, beautiful lady, now it's quiet. Tell me, what's the big task this time? Is it to protect some head of state or what?" Ye Luo asked with a smirk, casually scratching an itch on his neck.
Seeing this, Luo Jingxuan's mouth twitched slightly, her eyes conveying speechlessness.
She was now somewhat skeptical about where her grandfather had found such an oddity; apart from decent martial skills, she couldn't see how he was fit for the task.
However, Luo Jingxuan naturally wasn't the kind of woman to jump to conclusions after one glance.
Regaining her composure, Luo Jingxuan's lips parted lightly, "This isn't a good place to talk, come with me."
Without asking any questions, Ye Luo stood up and followed Luo Jingxuan out of the park.
Outside the park, there was a white BMW X7. Luo Jingxuan walked over, opened the car door, and sat down, glancing at Ye Luo, "Get in."
"Nice car, though a bit low-end for my taste," Ye Luo muttered before quickly getting in and sitting in the passenger seat.
Luo Jingxuan then started the car and drove off into the distance, vanishing from view.
At that moment, Brother Li, who had left earlier, and his two subordinates appeared, watching the retreating taillights of the BMW. Brother Li's eyes narrowed with a cold glint, his fists creaking with rage.
"Brother Li, are we just going to let this go?" the old-looking man asked with a resentful look in his eyes.
"Yeah, Brother Li, we can't just let this slide. If word gets out, how are we supposed to get by in Zhonghai?" the baby-faced man added, grinding his teeth in anger.
"Don't worry, Brother Li isn't someone who can be bullied easily. Kid, you just wait," Brother Li said with a fierce look in his eyes, seething with anger inside.
In Zhonghai, the Verdant Villa district is known for its luxury, featuring massive villas and a lush greenery that contributed to its high-quality air. It was inhabited by the upper crust of Zhonghai society, where residents often boasted assets of at least a million, although mistresses and kept women of the wealthy were also known to reside there.
The BMW X7 arrived at the entrance of the villa district. Luo Jingxuan handed a card to the security guard, who took a glance before allowing the car to enter.
Before long, the car pulled up in front of a three-story villa. Following Luo Jingxuan's press of a button, the villa's iron gate automatically opened, and the car drove in.
"Come in."
After getting out of the car, Luo Jingxuan said a word to Ye Luo before opening the villa door and walking in.
"Nice, the decor, Italian crystal chandeliers, European hardwood floors, Van Gogh murals - it seems you have quite the taste," Ye Luo commented as he stepped in, then nonchalantly sat down on the plush, pale sofa, lazily lifting his legs onto the coffee table in front, his bare feet wiggling, spreading an unusual aroma around.
Luo Jingxuan's brows furrowed slightly, but she didn't say anything. Instead, she introduced herself, "Let me introduce myself first, my name is Luo Jingxuan."
"Hello, beautiful, my name is Ye Luo, Ye as in Ye Luo's Ye, Luo as in Ye Luo's Luo." Ye Luo's mouth curved slightly upwards as he spoke to Luo Jingxuan with a smile, while his eyes couldn't help but scan over her.
Dressed in a white long gown, with a tall figure, stunningly beautiful features, and an elegant yet serene demeanor, she indeed was a beauty that would be loved by all.
"Hmm, nice skin, delicate features, I give you eighty points..."
Listening to Ye Luo comment on her body, Luo Jingxuan's brows tightened, feeling displeased inside. However, when she heard he didn't finish his last sentence, curiosity got the better of her, and she couldn't help asking, "I'm only worth eighty points?"
"Eighty is pretty good. I've given many big stars just eighty as well. I have yet to see anyone in this world that could score ninety from me. Wait, you have the perfect curves in three dimensions, add two points for that."
Ye Luo said with a twist of his mouth, his Clairvoyant Eye already activated. His gaze instantly sharpened, no longer the careless demeanor he had before, seeing right through the person in front of him.

"You can even tell that?"
When Luo Jingxuan heard what Ye Luo said, she blurted it out, but then felt something wasn't quite right, her fair cheeks flushing with a hint of red.
Ye Luo was a bit embarrassed, as he had blurted it out without thinking. How was he supposed to explain this?
"I can tell fortunes, believe it or not?"
Ye Luo once again tried the tactic he used on Liu Xiner on Luo Jingxuan, but the latter was clearly not the kind of woman to believe such things just because they were said.
"Forget it."
Luo Jingxuan said in dismissal, choosing not to dwell on the matter any further, and instead, she said, "Now let's talk about the mission you have this time."
"Go ahead, what sort of national affair is the mission that you need to entrust to me?"
Ye Luo leaned back on the sofa, a look of contentment on his face, sighing, "The greater the capability, the greater the responsibility, huh? Well, I suppose as a model citizen, I should shoulder burdens for the country."
"Your mission this time is to take someone's place in marriage!" Luo Jingxuan said directly.
Nani...
Marriage?
And it's taking someone's place...
Ye Luo was immediately confused. What was this all about? Wasn't it supposed to be a mission concerning a major national affair? How did it turn into this?
"This... are you sure there's no mistake?"
Ye Luo looked at Luo Jingxuan with some skepticism, hoping she had made a mistake.
But wishes are plump, while reality is bony!
"I haven't made a mistake; this is indeed the mission you need to undertake, to take the place of the Ye Family's Young Master and marry the daughter of the Ling Family from Zhonghai."
"How can it be like this, to make a young and handsome guy like me marry, isn't this asking me to give up an entire forest? What was that old man thinking?"
Ye Luo complained with a look of speechlessness.
