I can't believe something like this has this many views, the longer I read the ff the more angry I got (WHY) because you basically changed the whole personality of the Mc(which was fine btw) but made the plot THE EXACT SAME AS THE ORIGINAL nothing has changed except some of his powers(he's more op) and even with more power you're still making him follow the same plot as the original. Look i'm not asking for you to change the entire plot but at least have something be different, this is basically COPY-PASTE!
Every time I think author is gonna change the canon , he backpedals in the name fate or other thing. It is kinda irritating and made me give up mid-way.
it's amazing, but the overpower part makes me want to give 1 star, MC has a reason for his power to snowball so much in the tutorial and thats fine, but tham he start having a ton of op powers comming from nowhere on top of that, at this point I wouldn't be surprise if he reverse time to save the world, snap his fingers to kill the end boss or spaw a sharingan on his butt

One of the only fanfics of TSCOG by Vain which is honestly a pretty good fanfic. The story does follow the novels story development even if something happens to change it which honestly seems a bit forced and the MC was dense purposefully to get all the girls but the latest development is pretty surprising and i am looking forward to how Vainglory develops the story further.

This Webnovel is one of my favourite novels on the app. There is little to no mistakes, the character building of the Mc and side characters is fantastic, and the development always leaves me desiring for more. Overall, it’s a great book, albeit I do wish it was updated more often. I guess that’s what you get one you find something of this quality.

I have no idea why this has such a high rating. Would NOT recommend reading. Even though the MC is so much more powerful than the original he still follows canon, if he was doing it deliberately so he can take advantage of having foreknowledge, I would understand, but he's not, he somehow ALWAYS forgets the plot just when something of importance is about to happen, then complains because he wasn't fast enough, MULTIPLE TIMES.
good story but much difference between each update that takes away one's desire because when actualu one is in another story , I recommend that you increase the amount when you update or update more often
Idk about others but I fairly enjoyed this fanfic. In fact I believe this would be a gold standard of ff but others would certainly disagree. Someone complained about the plot going almost exactly the same, but I think the amount of changes made are just right. And I believe it would swerve away from being a fanfic if the change was that drastic. I honestly just enjoyed the story and how the author went about it so… bite me?
This is a great fanfic considering I usually cant find any good ones on TSCOG but what gets me bored about it is that the development is pretty much the same minus some things the mc changed like skills and powers but the whole "fate" thing is what keeps bugging me over and over?? Like I can understand the mc not wanting to change things so that things dont get out of control and stuff but whats the point?? Or am I just stupid and am missing something?

I'm at chapter 55, so far so good. But the plot line is exactly the same as the canon. It is just slightly different approach? I mean, He is more powerful so he can do more than the OG MC, but the outcome of the arc is almost the same. Almost the same that you can predict it. And that is getting boring, I'm waiting for change though.

Just caught up to the lastest chapter "103" I'm glad I found this fan-fic, SCOG is one of my favourite novels. I hope the author continues this gem!!! Looking forward for more chapters and I want to see how this SCOG fan-fic will end
here are my thought on up to chapter 40: 1. nothing changed from the original book, the plots are the same and author tries too hard to stay along the original plot that it's annoying. 2. This MC is too kind and generous to some and mean to others, there is no fixed personality for him. but even if that's not the case, his over generosity is just like seol. Almost dying for his loved ones over and over again. I read fanfics so that I get to see differences between the original and fanfics, not to see the same thing over again. 3. the only reason I'm sticking with it is because the writing quality is great in this one and you can't find fanfics with good writing quality that often. 4. MC's personality is annoying to me.
The first 3 volumes are extremely well done imo, great quality writing, great character interactions and a great MC who is similar to the original but also different in a great way. However volume 4 has gone downhill, it is best described as frustrating. Volume 4 focus on his relationships with women mostly (and solving issues on earth) however frankly it is lasting far too long. With how many chapters it is taking to resolve his relationships with all the drama and comedy coming almost exclusively from previous misunderstandings, it becomes overly repetitive and boring.

It's good story with good MC. I hope that the author doesn't change the plot way too much. Also I hope that he doesn't ruin plot with forced romance. Also Agnes is in harem right? Right?
This is an utterly fantastic story! But you should keep something in mind when reading this: A butterfly flapping its wings can create a hurricane. So, take a breath, be patient, and be in awe of the eventual hurricane!

Honestly, it’s great. Characters feel real or at least very similar to their originals. MCs nicely portrayed. He’s OP, and that just means the characters become the main focus; all of whom are, as stated above, done very well. There are times where things are a bit unpleasant as it does tend to follow the original plotline. Normally, its a big turn off for plots to be just recycled, but the author gives a reason for that which just fits for this world, so I can’t be overly mad. Besides, there are original moments that are *chef kiss*. I won’t elaborate. I really can’t say any more. It’s just a nicely written novel.

It's Vain - trust me it's good 😆 As someone that read this initially on SH (and binged it in the span of a day), I can say this is one of the most well-written and engaging pieces of fiction I've personally experienced. And it's exactly the type of story I know Webnovel readers enjoy. MC is smart and finds every opportunity to abuse the system to his advantage, he's creative with how he uses his skills, and he's incredibly analytic. ...if that doesn't convince you, then the rampant attraction of various women will😂
