章 124: plot twist

"Is that what Red says plot twist is?" Santiago muttered to himself. "Why can't all of us fall in love normally and then have a normal wedding?" 

If it was the twist of fate, Callum was very angry at it. They could have spared her. She had lost more than she had found. She had been fighting battles since she was young but always won at the cost of herself. 

"Ten months ago, they almost killed her, " Callum said softly. "I don't know how it was. They shot her outside the hospital in Orin. And she was pregnant."

None of the men said a word, they just stared at his face calmly. They didn't know what to say at this moment. They wanted to ask him how he was doing but they felt as if these words were too little for the pain their best friend was going through. 

"She was in a coma for weeks in New York, " Callum said after a while. He had been clenching his hands in order to stop himself from doing something regrettable.
