Clive still hasn't woken up.

"Dad, will everything really be okay?" Audrey, feeling uneasy, asks as she leans on Clive.

"Trust me, Clive is probably just exhausted."

How much stress does a child have to endure to become so tired?

The drowning incident today allows the child to completely relax. Gem feels a sudden sympathy for Clive and says, "Let's go, don't disturb him. Let him have a good sleep. He'll wake up tomorrow."

Gem carefully closes Clive's bedroom door and then carries Audrey across the hall to her room.

"Dad, I want to sleep with you tonight."

Probably frightened by Clive's situation, Gem smiles and says, "You're already sharing a room with Dad. Look!"
