Maya already knew Vincent only cared about her because of her value as a business deal. Her feelings didn't matter to him. They had never mattered to anyone so why would things be different now when she knew she had been bought?
His expression indicated he didn't believe she was actually fine but he let it go and they finished their meal in silence. Thinking about this had made her tired. She wanted to go back to the hotel room but had already promised to go along with the activity he wanted to do after dinner.
They had to walk for a while to get there but she was not expecting their destination at all. "A bowling alley?"
"You said before that you would teach me. Why not now?" Vincent asked casually with his hands in his suit pockets.
