章 199: Issue #4
Akihiro felt the temperature in his body drop several degrees and he auddered as he felt the intense gaze upon him. He had seen mob bosses, assassins, deadly mutants, and powerful superheroes stare down at him in the past but none had struck fear into him like Jack did. Akihiro unconsciously retracted his claws and backed away from Laura without letting his gaze leave Jack
Jack nodded as he looked around the room checking to see how injured his girls were. When he saw that they were mostly fine, Jack let out a mental sigh of relief before he got angry
"Whose idea was it to leave the island for this 'mission'?" Jack asked the Inquisitors, not caring about the armed men or other mutants in the room
"It was mine, Mr. Frost," Melody admitted, taking the full blame. Since she was the team leader, she figured it was her responsibility for when the members acted out. Plus, she could have stopped Felicia and the others if she truly wanted but she had also grown bored on the island
"It was my idea, Father. I read through your files and wanted to test myself," Laura was ready to take the blame since she figured that Jack would go easy on her
"So two of you are willing to lie to me. Do we have a third?" Jack asked them, the group feeling his picnic might looming just above their head
"It was my idea!" Felicia admitted, not wanting the others to get in trouble. "I was getting bored and used this mission as an excuse to get them to come with me."
Jack nodded. That story, he believed.
"You'll get your punishment when you return. Go wait for me on the jet," Jack told the girls
The Inquisitors looked between Jack and the armed men, trying to decide which was more dangerous. But it didn't even take a second before the 6 of them began to flee out the building.
Several of the guards raised their guns to shoot at them but their arms began to twist and bend at unnatural angles when they tried to lift thier arms. Each of the men and women screamed out in pain but none of the girls turned to look at them.
With the girls gone and guards disabled, the only people still standing were Jack, Remus, Romulus, and Daken. But two of them were shaking in fear.
"Sleep for now. When you wake up, you'll be in a cell," Jack told the two men before digging into their minds and knocking them unconscious
Afrer knocking them out, Jack pulled out his phone and alerted the police to the location while two clones of himself phased through the floor with several computers in their hands. This was all the data that was contained in the facility.
With everything taken care of, Jack began to float back toward the jet the girls were on when he heard Remus call out to him.
"Wait! The police won't be able to harm..." but as Remus turned to see her brother and Daken, she noticed both of their bodies had disappeared into thin air.
"The police are for the guards. These two will be handled by me," Jack told continued his flight toward the jet.
Remus watched as he appeared next to the jet before him and the jet full of girls disappeared without any notice.
Jack and the girls were back in the hangar when he told them all to get off the jet. The girls walked off with their heads lowered and ready to get a lecture.
"Father. Mother was calling for you. Something about a Black King," a voice came from the side where no one was looking
Before Jack could say anything, Diana walked into the hangar and tried to protect the girls by distracting her father. Diana was wearing her uniform which was a black leotard with sequin-like stars all over it.
"Hmm," Jack responded before turning to his team. "2 hours in the Danger Room. At 5 in the morning tomorrow."
Jack didn't give the Inquisitors a chance to complain before he teleported back to his room. Laura flashed Diana a smile and mouthed 'thank you' to which the sister responded to with a smile.
Jack appeared in his bedroom where Emma and Sue were sitting there. Both were discussing the growth of Frost International which let Jack know that his daughter had lied to him.
'Hmm. So she's learned to lie in order to protect her siblings. Not sure whether I should be happy or upset,' Jack thought as he looked at two of his fiancees
"What's wrong, Darling?" Emma asked as she looked up from her laptop
"Ugh. Just my students trying my last nerve by doing stupid stuff," Jack explained shortly before changing his clothes with his magic
"Oh. So like what you did the second day you became my student?" Emma replied with a smile
"Wait. I haven't heard this story. What did he do?" Sue asked with a huge smile on her face
"Oh, nothing much," Emma told her with a light smile on her face. "The fool just destroyed his own arm because he couldn't wait an hour for me to wake up."
"Oh my gosh. Now I have to hear the whole story. I only got to know him after he became more responsible," Sue was eager to hear about Jack's reckless younger years
"Oh, he's still reckless. He just hides it better from the public. Trust me, you'll learn about it all soon," Emma told Sue before she began to recount the story of how she found Jack with his arm missing
By the time she was done, Sue was holding her stomach and laughing at Jack's antic.
Jack felt embarrassed having his early days exposed so he decided to pull Noth his wives into the bed and 'torture' them for a bit. By the time he was done, the pair were sleeping with smiles on their face while Jack had a proud look on his face
